One Bangsar Restaurants are set to Close! Another NZX Ara Damansara?

Image: kampungboycitygal Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) decided not to renew the five years lease (expired in December 2009) for One Bangsar restaurants’ owners and tenants! Another case like Niu Ze Xui, NZX Commercial Centre @Ara Damansara?

Bangsar Seafood Garden Restaurant, Sagar, Hideki Japanese Restaurant, Vincenzo Ristorante Italiano and other fine dining business operators in One Bangsar, all of them have to leave?

I was thinking, what’s happening there? Why DBKL allowed them to start their business there at first? Now only they reject to renew the lease due to the complaints by residents of the area’s commercial activities? Ridiculous!

My intention writing this post is to alert myself and new property investor to be careful on the risk of lease renewal issues. It is better for us to understand the lease renewal option, ideas or agreement of commercial activities nearby, especially when the commercial development being one of the main reason why you invest money on the property.

Will the business operators in SS2 @Petaling Jaya’s wedding street become the next “victim”?
