Started by Penn State IFC in 1973 Held in White Building Lasted 30
hours Raised over $2,000 Joined with Four Diamonds Fund in 1977
Story by Chris Millard, who died from cancer at 14 Courage, Wisdom,
Honesty, Strength Covers expenses for children fighting cancer
Moved into Rec Hall, and eventually to BJC in 2007 Now: 46 hours,
708 dancers, raising

THON Fundraising Please know that although THON fundraising is
highly encouraged, it is entirely voluntary. If you feel
uncomfortable at anytime, please bring it to the attention of one
of the officers. It is our wish that you enjoy being in AED and
dont feel forced to do anything. Alternative options are available
please just contact one of us!

Canning How canning works First weekend: September 27 th -29 th
Sign-ups available online! or come up after the meeting Weekend
trip to Gillian Diestels Day trips Saturday and Sunday Extra
service point if you drive for a canning weekend! Membership:
canning once with anyone for distinguished membership canning twice
overall (day trip = 1, weekend trip = 2), at least once with AED
for THON Committee Double check your availability before signing
up! 48 hour notice if you need to cancel less than 48 hour notice
will result in 10 additional THONvelope requirement
