As a private, nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, the Humane Society of Sarasota County receives no federal funding, nor are we funded by any national humane organization. Every donation serves a purpose and is used to help HSSC fulfill our mission to engage the hearts, hands, and minds of the community to help animals.

Since 1952, we have made great strides and have helped thousands of animals, but there is still work to do. Together, we can make our vision of a community where all animals are cared for and loved a reality.

When you join our Partner Program, you’ll be a part of HSSC. You’ll be helping to end the cycle of animal homelessness. You’ll be giving second chances to animals when they need them most. You’ll be making a difference.
