Humara Jagdamba

For 2 months, The Funky Boyz Media Club, run by Kid Powered Media in partnership with Swechha, used photography as a creative way to view their community with new eyes. During the course, through their camera lens, they realized that Jagdamba Camp is diverse, with a rich history and colorful lanes. They learned not to take for granted the everyday sights that surround them. And they learned that many inspiring, courageous people live amongst them, working hard to make Jagdamba Camp a better place. This book is a collection of their photos and their realizations: Jagdamba Camp isnt just a community, it is their home.

The best thing is that parents are sending their children to school, both boys and girls. This is the most important thing.!In ve years, I want to see myself in a completely improved Jagdamba Camp, where women are respected and every child is educated.!My journey from Jagdamba Camp with Swechha has taught me how to behave, how to live, how to talk and how not to live. It has been a big personal story because if not for that, I would be either cleaning somebodys house today, or I would be married.!Sometimes children teach us certain things which even grown-ups dont know, so we should try to learn from them. (Suman)!!!!
