PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. - A teenager who was hit bya car as he was riding his bicycle in Port St. LucieTuesday morning has died, according to his mother.
16-year-old Hunter Henry was removed from lifesupport at approximately 8:45 a.m., said WendyHenry.
“Proudest mother I could be to have a son sobrave,” she said, of her son and his decision to be
an organ donor. She said all of his organs had found matches. “Everything,even his bones, his skin. They are even giving his mandible to help a little girlwith a cleft palate. There is nothing that is going to go to waste,” said Henry.
Henry said Hunter’s funeral was currently being planned, and she did notknow when it would be, but she did know that his JROTC squadron would bepallbearers.
Hunter was planning to go into the army next year, according to his family.

I am sadened by the loss of this young man, its even more upsetting to me as
I live directly accross from where Hunter was hit and made the 911 call that
morning. Its hard to look out my window and be reminded each time as little
memorial has been put up for him. My heart truly goes out to his family, as a
mother of a 17 year old son myself I can not fathom what they are going
through. I also want to praise Hunter for his selfless act of signing to be a
organ donor. I am a double organ recipient of four years now, so I know the
blessing ho has given to his matches. He has given others another chance of
life and some a better quality of life. I praise him for that and although my only

This is a beatiful Country the roads are good,WHY WE DO NOT HAVE A

Our family wanted to offer our heart felt sorrow for the Henry Family, his
girlfriend, friends and the elderly man that struck him. We are praying for all of
you and if there is anything we can do for you please let us know. My son
Austin was in JROTC with Hunter and I know he and a few other students are
taking this experience pretty hard. I too am very proud of him as an organ
donor that he is able to help so many people during this difficult time. Hunter
will be greatly missed and I pray that you can take some comfort in knowing he

Ms. Henry, I am so sorry for your loss. I'm so proud of your sons decision to
serve in our Armed Forces. Knowing he would have stood watch for us...so
that we could sleep peacefully and without fear, under the blanket of freedom
and security that ALL service men and women provide.
As a U S Marine I would like to offer an American Flag presence for the funeral
service and an American Flag Motorcycle escort for the internment. If the family
would allow my presence with others who choose to Honor this young

i can't imagine what the family has been going through since this happened.
my daughter goes to that school and it's been very sad there.i don't know him
or his family but when they asked everyone to wear orange today, my daughter
wore orange and i also am wearing an orange shirt to support hunter,his
girlfriend and his family.r.i.p. hunter and my condolences go out to his family
and anyone that knew him.this is a very sad day for all of port st lucie.
