Elementary soft cover books are $25 and hard cover are $30. Secondary books are $35 (hardcover only). Books may be reserved through the Banker in the Elementary Office, cash or check only. Yearbooks will be distributed in class on the last day of school. Questions/concerns: [email protected] Uniform Resale We are excited to announce another uniform resale! This year our resale will be done differently than previous years. We will no longer be facilitating individual sales. We will be running this event as a fundraiser and will be accepting gently used uniform pieces as donations only. All items will be available for purchase as a very low cost at our Uniform Resale Event in August. If you'd like to donate your gently used uniform pieces, please bring them to the front desk during school hours, please note the school hours during the summer are Monday thru Thursday, 9am to 1pm. If you need assistance or have any questions in regards to purchasing school uniforms please email [email protected]. End of Year Painting Party for the Whole Family! Join us on May 30th and have some fun as we celebrating the end of the school year by painting while also supporting our dance team! Doors open at 5:30pm, with class from 6:00-8:00 pm. Elementary News

Academic Update – Dockets and Nametags: As the end of the year approaches, teachers have begun to gather and prepare student materials to be returned for the year. To ensure your student’s docket and nametag are not lost here in the school as we move classrooms this summer, your student(s) will be bringing them home with them. Please plan on keeping your student’s docket and nametag somewhere safe this summer so it can return to school with them next year. Field Day We are so excited for another great FIELD DAY coming up on MAY 30th! We have lots of exciting things planned for all elementary grades! Secondary News

Junior Parents please be sure you check your email for important information from Ms. Steiner regarding planning for senior year! Graduation Seniors need to arrive at school by 8:30am on Saturday. Graduation begins promptly at 10am, and guests must be seated by 9:50am. Parents will not be able to enter the school until 9am, when the exterior doors will be opened. Guests should enter through the playground gate on the south side of the school. All ticketed guests will check-in at the atrium. APA SECONDARY FIELD DAY!!!!! DATE: FRIDAY, MAY 31 TIME: PARK OPENS AT 10:30AM COST: ALL DAY PASS $25. (Season ticket holders are free! Required Summer Math Assignment for all Secondary Students This year’s summer math assignment is required for all incoming 7th-12th grade students and is accessible through Google Classroom. You should have already received an email with all the details regarding our summer math program. If you did not, or if you have any questions, please email a member of our math department. 1ST ANNUAL CREDITONE BANK/AMERICAN PREP GOLF TOURNAMENT June 21st at 12 noon at beautiful Spanish Trail Golf Course The purpose is to raise money for APA’ athletes and athletic dept. We’d like you to play ($125 per player or $500 foursome) or find us a sponsor for the following:

• 18 HOLE SPONSORS - $400/hole (Sponsor receives 2 players for tournament, signage on their hole and scorecard, recognition at lunch and awards).

• GIMMICK SPONSORS - $500 - Longest Drive, Straightest Drive, Closest to Pin, Longest Putt, Hole In One (Sponsor receives 2 players for tournament, signage on hole and scorecard, recognition at lunch and awards).

• PUTTING GREEN SPONSOR - $500 (Sponsor receives 2 players for tournament, signage around putting green and scorecard, recognition at lunch and awards).

Our MS Navy team captured the NCSAA MS Championship. The successful year was celebrated with an exciting banquet for approximately 100 people on Tuesday, May 21st. Arts & Crafts Camp (for incoming grades 2-8) July 8 - 11; 9am - 12pm July 15 - 18; 9am - 12pm $165/week (ALL SUPPLIES INCLUDED!) You don't want to miss Arts & Crafts Camp with Ms. Anderson and Ms. Tucker! With a different art or craft activity every day, your child is sure to have a great time! Eight days, eight different projects! Students will be able to take their projects home and enjoy them for years to come! Join us for one or two weeks of artistic creativity! Astrology Camp (for incoming grades 4-10) July 22 - 25; 9am - 12pm Cost: $125/week More details to come! This camp will focus on 4 Basic subjects. Reading, Grammar, Writing and Math. Cost: $200/week; $180/week for siblings My First Summer Camp with Mrs. Jones, Mrs. Hatch & Ms. Rambow Begindergarten is just the right amount of summer fun sprinkled with skills that will help children ages 4-6 get ready and excited for their next year in school. There will be enough play, fun, water, and games, that the children will not even recognize the learning moments throughout the day (including pencil grasp, cursive, sounds, numbers, tying shoes, CHAMPS, etc.) to set them up for success in the fall. All children ages 4-6 are welcome regardless of grade or school they are entering. Broadway Bound! APA's Musical Theater Camp (for incoming grades 1-7) June 10-14th; 9am - 12pm (with early drop off option of 8am) Camp cost: $150/week; $100/week for siblings Join us for APA's Musical Theater Camp June 10-14th! This is a great opportunity for students to get a taste of the fun and excitement theater brings. Students will spend their time working in groups on choreography, vocals, and theatrical stage presence as they play theater games and learn numbers for the Friday parent show. They will also have the opportunity to audition for independent small group and solo numbers during the final show. The cast will work with a selection of high school musical theater students who will be mentoring and assisting them. The camp is run through our APA Theater Department, led by Mrs. Tintle.

If your camper is registered and PAID for before May 31st, you get the Early Bird 8 am drop off for FREE! ($25 value with extra voice, dance, and theater one-on-one instruction). Cheer Camp! NO FEAR, ALL CHEER! (For grades K-8) June 17-21 from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm. $150/week; $125/week for siblings Girls and Boys, ages 5-14! Have no fear, CHEER CAMP is here! We are excited for another fun & inspiring one-week summer camp. Cheer campers will be showcasing cheers and dances for friends and family on June 21st! $150 for the week! Sibling discount of $25! Everywhere is a Stage (For incoming grades 2-8) June 17th-June 21st 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm June 24th-June 28th 9:00 am to 12:00 pm Cost: $150/week; $135/week for siblings “Everywhere is a stage” is a MAGNIFICENT summer camp experience led by Mrs. Hayes (4th grade teacher) and Mrs. Call (3rd grade teacher). Each camper will learn HOW to audition, HOW to embrace the stage, and HOW to be prepared for any audition process. This performance prep camp will enable ANY student to achieve a new level of performance understanding to help facilitate success in landing any future role that they would like to strive for. Math and ELA Summer Boot Camp (For incoming grades K-3) June 17-21 and June 24-28; 9:00am to 12:00pm Cost: $125 total, for 2 weeks; $100/two weeks for siblings Looking for some fun this summer? Need to work on your math/reading skills? Or do you just want to boost your current levels? Like to play games? Try APA's new summer boot camp with Ms. Harris and Ms. Torres! Math Intensive Tutoring (For incoming grades 7-12) This 4-week camp is a unique opportunity for interested and talented students to improve their math skills. Students will be guided and trained by expert APA math teachers so they can build their confidence levels in math. Sign up for 1 or all 4 weeks! Week 1: June 10 - June 14 Week 2: June 17 - June 21 Week 3: June 24 - June 28 Week 4: July 29 - August 2 Math Intensive Tutoring sessions will run from 9am-12pm Monday through Friday. Please reach out to us for information regarding additional tutoring opportunities from 1pm-4pm on these dates. The cost of the camp is $150 per week session. We are including a sibling discount of $100 per week session per student for families with multiple students. Jewelry Design Camp July 22 - 25; 9am - 12am OR 1pm - 4pm Cost: $165 (SUPPLIES INCLUDED) SPACE IS LIMITED*! This exciting camp will teach students how to make their own trendy jewelry creations with crystal beads, semiprecious stones, pearls, leather, wire and more! A new technique will be introduced each day, with time for students to choose their own materials and create one or more items using that days technique. It is anticipated that each student will complete 6 to 12 pieces. *Two sessions are being offered to maximize 1 on 1 attention with each student!
