I AM GOING SHOPPING TO TESCO CRAWLEY

This is Tesco Crawley.

I am going shopping to Tesco Crawley.

It is a superstore which means it is

large and sells a variety of items

including food and clothes.

I AM GOING SHOPPING...

If we drive to the store, when we arrive

we need to find a car parking space.

We will use a trolley or a basket to

put all our food in.

If we need a trolley we can collect it

before we enter the store.

If we need a basket we can collect it

from inside the store.

I AM GOING SHOPPING...

The store may be busy.

There will be other customers and

staff. The staff will wear Tesco

uniforms and if I need help I can

ask them.

We can ask for a map which will help

me find my shopping.

We pick out the food we need and

put it in our trolley/basket.

If I want something that is not on our

shopping list I can ask “Can we buy

that?”

We might have a list so we know

what to buy.

After we pick out all of our shopping

we will go to the checkout.

The cashier will tell us how much our

shopping costs.

We will pay them.

We will put our shopping on the

conveyer belt.

The cashier will put our food in

a bag.

I AM GOING SHOPPING...

I can express my feelings...

When we have paid, I can help carry

the groceries to the car.

I can let my parents or carers know how I am feeling when we are in the store.

I can point to a picture to express how I feel.

I feel HAPPY I would like to stay

I feel OK I would like to find a quiet space

I feel SAD or ANXIOUS I would like to leave
