Winter Holiday Assignments

Grade 5

Conduct an awareness campaign among your friends / family

members/neighbours on the effects of global warming. Prepare a notice (A4 size) that

calls for the theme “Go green”. Prepare a brief report on your campaign and submit it

to your MEd teacher. The report should include the strategies you adopted in your

campaign, people you met, message you conveyed, tips you suggested and the result

you expected. You need to attach the notice along with the report.

Grade 6

Create a weekly plan. Record your diet, your physical activities/leisure activities, the

rules of hygiene you follow, etc. The columns should be filled in on a daily basis for a period

of 1 week. Observe your routines and estimate whether you could follow them at a satisfactory

level. Write your findings along with your weekly plan and submit it to your MEd teacher.

Grade 7

1. Prepare a speech highlighting the positive and negative impacts of social media, to be

delivered in your MEd period after your winter recess. The speech must be written on

an A4 sheet and the minimum number of words should be 300.

2. You might have heard about the risks that people face while using internet facilities.

Write examples of such dangers/ risks and the measures to be taken to avoid those risks

while using internet.

Grade 8

Interview a minimum of 4 employees who are working in different companies in UAE. The

topic of interview is ‘Safety of Women at workplace’. Consolidate your findings and prepare

a report on it. Please make sure that the interview questions are included in the report.
