The Law Foretold of Christ and the Gospel• The story of the coming Redeemer and God’s

redemption is the theme of the Old Testament. (Gen. 3:15; Gen. 12:3; Gal. 3:8, 28; 2 Sam. 7:12-13; etc.) • The Old Testament indicates that through Jesus

a new covenant would come. (Deut. 18:15-18; Matt. 17:5; Jer. 31:31; Heb. 8:13) • Jesus rebuked the Jews for not seeing that

JESUS AND THE LAW

Jesus Fulfilled Prophecy

Jesus Is the End of the Law• Jesus is the mediator of a new covenant. (Heb. 9:15) • The Law was a shadow of things to come and
