I got invited to a Birthday Party at

Aqualink Nunawading

I got an invitation to a friend’s Birthday Party at Aqualink. It is a pool party.

When I arrive I will go to reception and they will tell me where to go.

I will walk down to the party table that is next to the pool.

I will wish my friend a Happy Birthday and give them a present.

There are many fun Program Leaders that may take the Birthday Party. They will be

wearing bright blue tops and black shorts.

The two Program Leaders running the party will say hello at the start of the party.

They will play lots of fun games in the pool with everyone.

The Program Leaders will start the party by putting a wrist band on us. By doing this

they will know all the children in the party.

We will start by playing games in the Leisure Pool. I can wear my goggles if I want

to. I must listen carefully to what the Leaders say as the pool can get noisy.

All parties are different so they will do different activities. Some parties will go on

the Small Inflatable. This is in the Leisure Pool.

Some parties will go on the Large Inflatable. This is in the deep end of the bigger

50m Pool.

Some parties will go on the Tarzan Rope. This is also in the deep end of the bigger

50m Pool.

I will not wear my goggles on the Inflatables or the Tarzan Rope as this is a rule. The

Program Leaders will look after them for me.

Around the pool there will be lifeguards. They are watching everyone in the water

to make sure they are safe. They will make sure everyone in the party is safe and I

am safe too.

When I am at the party I must always stay with the party and the Program Leaders.

If I need to go to the toilet I must let the Program Leader know and a parent can

take me.

Some parties do not go on the Inflatables or the Tarzan Rope and play lots of fun

games in the Leisure Pool. One game is with a treasure chest and we will have to

collect all the toys that are scattered into the pool.

Another game is in the fun nuts. It is like two donuts joined together. Two people

can sit in it and try to catch everyone. It is lots of fun.

After all the games have been played we will sing Happy Birthday. If we sing loud

enough the rain cloud will come on.

If the pool is too noisy during the party I can go outside on the grass with my mum

or dad. It is very quiet and peaceful out there. I must let the Program Leaders know

I am doing this.

At Aqualink there will be other people swimming in the Pool that are not in the

party. That is ok as the party will have its own special area where they are not

allowed in.

When all the games are finished the Program Leaders will take us back to the party

table and we will have some food and eat birthday cake.
