I forgot to take a coat to the RogerBirch Memorial Trial and got ab-
solutely drenched, luckily Don Dalylent me a hat which was much toobig for my dainty head and keptfalling over my eyes making takingpictures awkward, I was glad of theprotection though, thanks ‘BigBonce’ Don - it must be all thosebrains ;-)
Well here is my 100th edition ofTrials and Tribulations ‘Not with abang but a whimper’ to paraphraseT.S. Eliot’s The Hollow Men. I’d liketo say a big “Thank You” to allthose who contribute, giving uptheir time to write an article, sendin pictures, news of events, etc, etc.Without you the T&T would be athin old thing. I just need to startputting it together a bit earlier so Ihave time to put in some of the
‘Blasts from the Past’ that havebeen passed to me. I am and I’msure you are too, very glad to haveKevin’s regular few words, that par-agraph or two is reminiscent of‘Pedro’s’ monthly article, all weneed now is someone to do the‘Keeping Track’ events like Dabberused to as I miss too many andthey’ve been and gone before Icome across them - any takers?
Oops, nearly forgot to say; DaveBeasley has volunteered to under-take the Secretary of the Meetingfor the Thumpers in November,thanks John and the rest of youcan heave a sigh of relief.

THE TAIL OF TWO SUNDAYS.
The first run in April heavy show-ers and a week later in Mediter-
ranean sunshine. Top work fromboth teams especially the entrancetrack repairs at Gt Bromley.
The observers carried out a fan-tastic job in the wet condition as Ihad to dry the score cards overnight on the radiator. The followingweek you could spin the rear wheelon the dusty loose slopes not slop-py mud. High marks at GT Bromley
then clean sheets from all classesseven days later at the Snaque Pit.
I would like to wish all clubmembers along with Eastern Cen-tre riders and supporters that aregoing north a safe journey. Goodluck to all the Pre65 competitors.

BEXLEYHEATH & DMCCBATTLE OF BURWASH
PRE-65 & TWINSHOCK TRIAL
Just letting you all know about our event 1st & 2nd June down inEast Sussex Nr Burwash Common TN21 8XA
We run a two day (Battle of Burwash) Pre-65 & Twinshock trialover 70 acres of woodlands which comprises rock streams and banks
which caters for all levels of ability's.
We run three routes.. easy....big bike route....and hard routeThe big bike route is a new idea for the real Pre-65 bikes like the Ariel's
and AMC’s Etc who don’t want to ride the tight bantam, turn on asixpence sections.
We have fantastic parking for camping, which is easily accessible for allsize vehicles camper homes. Camping is free with fresh water on tap
from Friday onwards, dogs are welcome.
£20 one day, £30 two days. Entries close 26th MaySaturday starts at 12 oclock, 8 sections, 4 laps. instant results that day.
Sunday starts at 10.30, 13 sections ,3 laps.Final results Monday Night on Facebook and Motorbiketrials.com

Keen to have a waggle on the bike but not attempt anything too seri-ous I headed for the March Raydon Plonkaround.
There was a good turnout of various bikes, old and new. Geoff Dawhad kindly brought along his Honda to give me a break from the heavier500 Millennium Triumph.
Between plenty of chat, tea and sandwiches I had a good ride round(mostly hills, nothing nadgery)
As the afternoon wore on Don Daly offered me a go on his Norton, PipEvans let me loose on his 175 Yamaha and David Norman was persuad-ed to let me try his twin shock Honda. Quite a variety, all with their owncharacteristics.
All too soon it was time to load up and head for home.A big thank you to Gary for organising the Plonkaround and to every-
one who trusted me to ride their machinery, especially Geoff Daw whomade a special trip to bring his bike for me.
