TheContractLookupareaallowsyoutosearchforcontractsadministeredbyIAS.Onceacontractislocated,youcanviewadditionaldetailsofthecontract,viewclaimshistoryforthatcontract,initiateanewclaimforcertaintypesofcontracts,andinitiateacancellationfornon-expiredandnon-cancelledcontracts.

YoumustbeloggedinpriortoaccessingtheContractLookupareaofIASCONNECT,andyourloginmusthavepermission.Certainactions,suchasinitiatingaclaimoracancellation,requireadditionalpermissionstobeset.

Thetopmostsectionisanareawheresearchparametersaresupplied.DealerandProductselectionfieldsallowyoutoselectadealerand/oraproductonwhichtosearch.Underthatisanarealistingoutanycontractswhichmatchthesearchparameters.Coloredstatusiconstotheleftofeachfoundrecordindicatewherethatrecordisintheadministrationprocess.Green=Active,Red=CancelledandGray=Expired.

LOOKINGUPACLAIM

FromtheClaimspage,youcanaddandfindclaims,orfilterthepresenteddefaultlist,sortingbyclaimstatus,product,dealersandrecentmonths.Underthatisanarealistingoutanyclaimswhichmatchthesearchparameters.Oncesearchparametershavebeenadjusted,anyclaimsmatchingthesearchparameterswillbeshownintheresultgridbelow.

Clickthe“Findaclaim”buttontoopenawindowwithmoreadvancedsearchoptionstolocatetheclaim.

Thenlocatethecontractusingthesearchoptions.

Onceyouhavefoundthecontractandarereadytofiletheclaim,clickthe“Initiateclaim”button#intheActionscolumnnexttothecontract.

NotethatIASCONNECTcurrentlysupportstheonlinefilingofclaimsforonlyGAP,andTireandWheelcontracts.Additionalclaimtypeswillbeaddedinthefuture.


Theonlineclaimsprocessisaguided,stepbystepprocessthatvariesfromcontracttocontract. Italwaysstartswithanoverviewscreenwhichexplainstheguidelinesandrulesrelatedtoautomaticauthorization.WithIASCONNECT,therearethreepossibleoutcomeswhenaclaimisfiledonline:

§ APPROVEDWITHAUTOMATICAUTHORIZATION–Thevastmajorityofclaimsfiledwillresultinapprovalwithautomaticauthorization,meaningthatnoadditionalpaperworkordocumentationwillberequiredtopaytheclaim.

§ APPROVEDWITHOUTAUTOMATICAUTHORIZATION–Certainclaimparameters,suchasahighrepaircostorextensivedamage,willrequireadditionalresearchfromtheIASClaimsTeam.Inthesecases,youwillreceiveapprovalwithoutautomaticauthorization,meaningthattheclaimwillnotbepaiduntilthatdocumentationhasbeenreceivedandprocessed.

§ DENIED–Certainclaimparameterswillresultinanautomaticclaimdenial.Inthesecases,youwillclearlyseethattheclaimhasbeendenied,alongwithanexplanation.

Beforeproceedingwithfilinganonlineclaim,besureandhaveallinformationrelatedtothevehicleandclaimavailable.Youwillneedthevehiclemileageatthetimeoflossandtherepairorderand/orinvoicefortherepair.

Onceyouhavethisinformationready,followtheon-screenpromptstocompletetheonlineclaimsprocess.Keepinmindthatonceyou’vefiledyourclaim,whetheronlineorviatheIAScallcenter,youcanutilizeIASCONNECTtotrackthestatusoftheclaim.

CANCELLATIONS

TheCancellationsareaofIASCONNECTallowsyoutoinitiatethecancellationprocessforanon-expired,non-cancelledIAScontract.Theend-resultoftheCancellationsprocessisthatanewcancellationquotewillbegenerated,completewithallcontractandothernecessary information. Once thecancellationquotehasbeengenerated, thatquote,alongwithanysupportingdocumentation,mustbesubmittedtotheIASCancellationsTeam.ThepreferredmethodwouldbetouploadthroughCONNECT(see*below),orsubmitviafax,emailorpostalmail.

GENERATINGACANCELLATIONQUOTE

AccesstheContractLookupareabyclickingonthe“CONTRACTLOOKUP”icononthemainpage,orbyclickingon“ContractLookup” inthemenubarwhich isshownonallpagesthroughoutthesite, then locatethecontract tobecancelled. ForadditionalinformationontheContractLookupprocess,reviewthe“ContractLookup”sectionofthisuser’sguide.

Toaccessthecancellationquotegenerator,clickonthe“Cancelcontract”icon$%nexttothecontracttobecancelled.Youwillberedirectedtoapagewhichwillaskforanyadditionalinformationneededtocancelthecontract,asshownintheimagebelow.Onthispage,supplyvalidinformationforallrequiredfields,thenclick“Submit”togeneratethecancellationquote.Note that based on the cancellation reason, different and/or additional documentationmay be required to finalize thecancellation.

To access the Electronic Processing section, click on the ElectronicProcessing button on the main landing page or click on ElectronicProcessinginthetopnavigationmenu.TheElectronicProcessingareaofIASCONNECThasasub-menuwithvariousoptions,asshownintheimageontheright.

ELECTRONICALLYREGISTERINGANEWCONTRACT

IAS CONNECT allows authorized users to electronically register contracts. By registering contracts electronically, thepossibility of rate and contract errors is nearly eliminated. Electronic registration canbeusedbydealership accountingoffices,whentheF&Idepartmentstillusesthreepartpaperforms,orbytheF&Iofficedirectly,inwhichcaseanelectroniccontractisgeneratedandcanbeprintedandhandedtothecustomer.

Toelectronicallyregisteranewcontract,clickonthe“GENERATECONTRACTS(EZ-REGISTER)”linkintheElectronicProcessingsub-menu.Thisisamulti-stepprocesswhichwillvaryfromdealertodealerandcustomertocustomerdependingonthetypesofwarrantiesavailable,andthetype(s)ofwarrantiesselectedforagivencustomer.Thegeneralorderofthisprocessisshownatahighlevelhere,andeachstepisbrokendownindividuallybelow.

Some form selectionswill require you to enter additional informationthatcannotbedeterminedbasedontheVINofthevehicle.Thisstepwillvarybasedonformselections,butanexampleisshownontheright.

SELECTPLANSFOREACHSPECIFIEDFORM

Inthisstep,atableisshownlistingouteachformselectedatthebeginningoftheprocess.Foreachlistedform,youmustassignaplandeemedvalidforthespecifiedvehicle.Starttheplanselectionprocessbyclickingonthe“Selectaplan”button.

Theplanselectionprocessvariesbasedonthetypeofplananditsoptions.Someplansdonotvarybytermordeductible,andsomeplansdonothavesurcharges.Ifthisisthecase,thoseaspectsofplanselectionwillautomaticallybeskipped.


Asplanselectionschange,therightsideoftheplanselectionwindowshows the details of the selected plan, including dealer costinformation.

Onceplanshavebeenassignedtoall forms,andretailpriceshavebeen supplied for each plan/form combination, click the “Next”buttontoproceed.

If the purchaser of the contract is an individual, select the “Buyer is anINDIVIDUAL” option and enter the buyer first and last name, and optionallyenterthebuyermiddleinitial.

Choose and existing lender, or create a new lender. Enter the lender street address and zip code. The zip code willautomaticallybedecodedandthecityandstatewillpopulateautomatically.Clickthe“Next”buttontoproceedtolenderselectionifapplicable.


REMIT,VOID,ORVIEWCONTRACTDETAILS

Toremit,void,orviewdetailsofpendingcontracts,clickonthe“VIEW/REMITPENDINGCONTRACTS”linkfromtheElectronicProcessingsub-menu.Upondoingsoandthenselectingadealer,alistofallpendingelectroniccontractswillbeshown.ThislistwillincludeanycontractsregisteredonIASCONNECT,eContractsgeneratedthroughSmartMenu,aswellaseContractsgeneratedfromoutsidemenusystems,portals,andDMSsystems.Thislistwillnotincludeanypapercontracts.

Oncethelistofelectroniccontractsisdisplayed,thereareavarietyofwaystomanipulatethedisplayeddata,andthereareseveralcontractspecificactionsthatcanbetaken.Eachisdescribedseparatelybelow.

SELECTINGCONTRACTSTOREMIT

Bydefault, eacheContract that ispendingwill notbe selected. To select contracts toremit,simplyclickonthecheckboxontheleftsideofthecontractrow.

Alternatively,youcanselectgroupsofcontractsusingavarietyofcriteria.Forexample,youmightwanttoselectonlycontractsgeneratedinacertainmonth,orofaparticulartype.Toaccessthisgroupedselectionfunctionality,clickonthe“Select…”buttonatthetopofthelist.


VIEWINGCONTRACTDETAILS

Toviewhighleveldetailsofthecontract,clickanywhereontherowwiththecontractinquestion,thiswillcausethatrowtoexpand(seesecondimagebelow)andshowothercontractdetails,suchastheform,program,anddeductible.TheActionscolumniconsallowyoutoEdit ,SetRewardRecipients ,Viewthecontract ,andDelete thecontract.

VOIDINGAPENDINGELECTRONICCONTRACT

Tovoidapendingelectroniccontract,clickonthexiconintheActionscolumnfortherowwiththecontractinquestion.

Youwillbepromptedtoenterareasonforthevoidforauditingandsecuritypurposes.


GENERATINGAREMITREGISTER

Beforeattemptingtogeneratearemittanceregister,atleastonependingcontractmustbeselected.Ensurethatatleastonecontractinthelisthasbeenmarkedasselected,thenclickonthe“FinalizeRegister”button.Notethatthisbuttonisshownatthetopandbottomofthecontractlistandwillchangeto"Finalizeregister/addcancellations"ifpendingquotesexist.

Anewpagewillbedisplayedshowingsummaryinformationfortheregister.Thenumberofcontractsandremittancedollaramountswillbedisplayed.

Reviewthisinformationforaccuracybeforeproceeding.Onceyouhaveconfirmedtheinformationonthesummarypage,enter whatever identifying information is helpful in the “Dealer reference number” box and then click the “Generateremittanceregister”button.


Aprintableregisterwillbecreatedandwillopeninanewtab/windowinyourbrowser.Fromthiswindow,youcanprinttheregister.Onceprinted,generateacheckwiththedollaramount(s)shownontheregister,thenmailtheregisterandchecktoIAS.ThereisnoneedtomailtheactualcontractstoIAS.

The“Datereceived”columnshowsthedate,ifapplicable,thattheregisterwasreceivedandsuccessfullyprocessedbyIAS.
