The Board of Directors agreed thatProfessor Robert Clark – CountryRepresentative of Ibssa in Great Britainand Mr. David Toney – Representative ofIbssa in Northern Ireland made a greatjob and excellent promotion for Ibssa inGreat Britain.The 2 days special bodyguard trainingseminar held with the participation of 40students (all experienced Ju Jitsu instruc-tors or leaders of security organisationsand companies) with the IbssaInternational Master Teacher andInstructor team: Prof. Giacomo SpartacoBertoletti (Ita), Dr. Rony Kluger (Isr), Ms.Veronique Santarossa (Ita), Mr. RobertoGobbi (Ita), Mr. Roberto De Ronzi (Ita),Mr. Attila Farkas (Hun) and Mr. LuigiSchifano (Ita) was very successful; all theparticipants wish to attend a higher-levelcourse, which will be organised inOctober this year.The information page about Ibssa in the27th anniversary Ju Jitsu Congress bro-chure was excellent promotion for ourAssociation.2. This decoration is one of thehighest Hungarian orders awarded bythe President of the Republic. Soke FumonTanaka joinsadvisoryboard of theIbaSoke Tanaka along with Shihan Midorigave an exemplary serial of clinics inItaly during April 2003.Fumon Tanaka is an international BudoMaster who truly represents the ancientsamurai wisdom “sword and pen areone”.He is a great warrior belonging to theelite samurai clan, and a real artist (cal-ligraphy, music, No theatre, dancing)and of course a great historian and wri-ter.Soke Tanaka, hosted by Gsb, gave aserial of very educational and excitingseminars of Ju Jutsu and Iai Jutsu. Thequality of teaching matters performeddirectly by soke Tanaka and shihanMidori was excellent. During his veryintense and successful teaching tour sokeTanaka met Dr. Rony Kluger (who camepurposely to meet and train with him).The meeting among Soke, Gsb, Iba’sVice President, and Dr. Rony Kluger Iba’sDean was very fruitful and pleasant. Dr. György Lasz (1947 – 2003)Not only the profession and the policestaff but also hundreds of thousand ofnewspaper readers and televisionviewers were staggered by the news onthe tragic and sudden death of the well-known security entrepreneur – manager.Dr. György Lasz was one of the mostpopular and skilled security and policeexperts, who gave interviews very oftento national journals and trade papers.We could see him regularly in the “KékFény” programme of the HungarianTelevision, and also in the police pro-grammes of the commercial TV stations.Dr. György Lasz was police and interna-tional security expert, doctor of Securityand Protection Sciences, Ceo of In-KalSecurity Co., Member of the ExecutiveCommittee of Ibssa, Chairman of theEvent Security Department andInternational SecurityDirector of Ibssa,Expert of thePolicing, Youth andSport Committee ofthe House, Boardmember of the“Budapest Chamberof Trade UnionsPersonal and Propertyprotection and Privatei n v e s t i g a t i o n ”(Szvmszk), SecurityManager of theHungarian FootballLeague.He began his careerin 1967 as patrol ofpublic security at thePolice Office inBudapest, but theambitious young policeman becamesoon detective, in order to gain signifi-cant experiences thereafter as the leaderof the Investigation Department. Hecould use furthermore these experienceswith success as the media expert of theMinistry of Interior.After the change of regime the leader-ship of the Pr Office of the InteriorMinistry portfolio was entrusted to Dr.György Lasz, and at the same time hebecame also the spokesman of theMinistry.He asked for his retirement because ofhis impaired health in 1992. He worked out and hadhis Ph. D. thesis about “Event Security”translated into English and placed it atthe disposal of Ibssa. Pro-Deo Universityraised specially the outstanding diplomawork of Dr. György Lasz. Lately he started to work out the interna-tional preparation and qualification pro-gram of security companies for safe-guarding football matches.The continuation of these works now iswaiting for his successors and co-owners.The Ministry of Interior gave Dr. GyörgyLasz – who was promoted posthumouscolonel – an official military funeral,which took place on the 16th May2003 in the Fiumei cemetery.

They parti-cipated at master teacher RobertoGobbi’s shooting exercises and laterintroduced some of their high-level mili-tary and special units products.The Executive President invited them toBudapest for the 2° “Sec-tember” IbssaInternational Special Security TrainingCourse, which will be held between 10– 14 September 2003 in Budapest/Hungary.The Italian course was a great success,thanks to the Ibssa Master Teacher“Super team”: Prof. Giacomo SpartacoBertoletti, Mr. Roberto Gobbi, Mr.Roberto De Ronzi and Dr. AugustoTrinetti, expert of explosives.For the high-level organization thanksand congratulation to Mr. Enrico Rosa,who was organiser, student and instruc-tor in the same time.
