Coding Example5. 8 year old was playing on the jungle gym earlier today at the park when he slipped and fell. He got his leg caught during the fall. This caused a twisting of his left knee. Has had immediate pain, swelling and difficulty walking since then. X-ray came back negative for any fracture. Provider believes it could be a possible meniscus tear, but thinks it is probably just a sprain. Ordering MRI to be done tomorrow. Patient to follow up after MRI.
