The vision of the International Coach Federation (ICF) Mumbai Chapter is to establish coaching as an integral part of

learning and development in society. Upon inception, we had engaged with business leaders and realized that the

understanding of the power and effectiveness of coaching was mixed. Also, since coaching and ICF are relatively

young in India, we also recognized that there was a need for coaches to get connected across India and share

knowledge. The initiative to publish a collection of coaching stories from coaches across India was launched to serve

the need of corporates and coaches.

All stories demonstrate the application of the core competencies as they unfold the process of the client’s self-

discovery. The stories give an insight into how coaching conversations can be blended with varied tools and

techniques. The coaches have shared their reflections and learning through these stories. Above all, a few leaders,

who had life-changing experiences with coaching, have also shared their journey briefly. We have also captured

highlights from the ICF Global Study and shared the significance of the Study’s Key Findings for Coaches in India.

The collaboration of coaches across India has enabled ICF Mumbai Chapter to create a legacy and unique offering for Coaches and

Business/HR leaders. This book is a symbol of collaboration, professionalism and excellence across India. It reflects the power of

coaching using the ICF Core Competencies, the universal language that bonds ICF Coaches across the world. Through this book,

we can now showcase the “The Power of Professional Coaching” and its impact in the community.

With this book, we hope that coaches gain visibility, credibility and opportunities to grow professionally and continue to connect and

learn from the community that has collaboratively shared their knowledge. The collection of stories is a tribute to the coaching effort

that is going on across India. The book is now live on Amazon kindle
