I'm following the path God has laid, you see. I took His hand when I heard His call. I turned my back and left it all. I could not stay another day, To laugh, to love, to work or play. Tasks left undone must stay that way, I found the peace at the close of day, If my parting has left a void, Then fill it with remembered joys. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss, yes, these things I too will miss. Be not burdened with times of sorrow. I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow. My life's been full, I savored much, Good friends, good times, a loved one's touch. Don't lengthen it now with undue grief. Lift up your hearts, and peace to thee. Mrs. Rebecca A Ofosu-Oware widely known as Auntie Becky or Sister Ewurabenawas granted her angel wings on June 6th, 2019, after a very short illness. Her final dayson this earth were spent surrounded by family and loved ones who were touched by hergenerous and loving spirit worthy of emulation by all. She always had a beautiful smileon her face and was always willing to come to the aid of any person in need. AuntieBecky was the embodiment of a generous spirit. Paraphrasing Simone de Beauvoir "Shegave her all and yet she always felt it cost her nothing".

Rebecca was born to Ms. Juliana Amuah and the late Mr. George Kweku Amuquandohon November 21st, 1958 in Cape Coast, Ghana. After accepting a teaching position atEnyan Abaasa in the Central region of Ghana Ms. Juliana Amuah relocated to EnyanAbaasa with Rebecca, where she started her primary education. It was at Enyan Abaasathat Juliana met her Late husband Mr. S.A Nkromah and later became known as Mrs.Juliana Nkromah. The family eventually moved to Winneba where she continued hereducation at Methodist primary school. One can only imagine the trepidation felt by ayoung Rebecca attending a school where her Dad was the school principal. Shemanaged to go through her primary education and ended up at Methodist girls' schoolin Winneba where her mother happened to be the home science teacher. Poor Rebeccacouldn't catch a break. She was a prolific athlete, hence she represented her school atinter-schools athletics competitions at both elementary and secondary levels. She wasalso a member of Ebenezer Methodist Church choir at Winneba.

After successful completion of her middle school education, she was accepted to theSwedru School of Business, popularly known as SWESBU for her secondary education. She took a position as a pupil teacher at Awutu Beraku in the central region of Ghanaafter leaving SWESBU. It was during this period that she developed a love for teachingwhich led to her enrollment at OLA Teachers Training College in Cape Coast, Ghana. She graduated as a trained teacher in 1984 and was initially posted to teach at a primaryschool at Darkoman in Accra. She was later transferred to Odorkor Primary school, where she taught until migrating to the United States of America.

Rebecca became a certified nurse's aide when she migrated to the United States in theyear 2000. She worked at Windsor Gardens Nursing Home in East Orange, NJ as aNurse's Aide caring for the elderly and sickly until her sudden sickness in early April2019. Her compassion for all patients made her a shining example of what a nurse issupposed to be. In her hospital room her supervisor remarked that Becky was a masterat turning around the very sick to healthy and smiling patients within a week. All it tookwas compassion and love which flowed freely from her heart. She did her job withprodigious enthusiasm worthy of emulation.

Rebecca met the man who will later become her beloved husband Mr. Moses Ofosu-Oware. whom she affectionately called "Kuu" in 1976 while visiting her grandma atTema. They fell in love and started dating in 1979. She was a beautiful girl hence manysuitors tried to woo her away from Moses but her dedication and love for Moses neverwavered. Her love for Moses even withstood his long absence from Ghana when hisexploits took him to Israel for more than two years. Their love and dedication for each
