Arjun Kaushik, The University of Western Australia, Western Australia Bio: Arjun Kaushik is a combined arts and medicine graduate from The University of Western Australia. His main focus lies with impacting social change together with medicine. As coinventor and Founder of Iris Medical he developed a novel way to prevent the number of unnecessary caesarean sections performed during labour. Presentation Title: How to progress an area of need through to the clinic: A case study of Iris Medical Presented by Dr Arjun Kausik, Dr Sarah McGarry Abstract: Once an area of unmet need is discovered and a potential solution found, there is a number of translational steps and de risking strategies to get the technology through "The Valley of Death". Iris medical, an award winning SPARK CoLab alumni team, will present their approach through this journey.
