Friday morning, the main podium lectures began with Prof. Stefan Renvert discussing “Non-Surgical Treatment of Peri-implantitis.” Prof. Fouad Khoury followed with his lecture, “Current Concept in the Surgical Treatment of Peri-implantitis” and after a short break, Prof. Jaafar Mouhyi continued with “Peri-implantitis: What About Implant Surfaces and Positioning.” Dr. Dr. Joseph Choukroun concluded the morning session with “Peri-implantitis: A Novel Biologic Approach: Prevention and Treatment.” After lunch, Dr. Sonia Leziy reviewed “Implant Esthetics: New Approaches, Treatment Concepts and Material Selection” followed by Dr. Michael Tishler with his lecture titled “Avoiding Complications with Full Arch Screw Retained Zirconia Bridges.” The final two speakers of the day were Dr. Randolph Resnik followed by Dr. Rick Ferguson who spoke about “Occlusal Considerations in Oral Implantology” and “Achieving 3D Implant Positioning for Clinical Success and Peri-implant Health with a Digital Guided Surgery Workflow”, respectively.
The Awards Ceremony, held immediately after the last lecture, was a time to honor our delegates who received their advanced credentials.

The ICOI/ADIA World Congress XXXVI in Las Vegas Nevada was a magnificent success with a record number of dentists and auxiliaries in attendance. The ADIA program continued its tradition of fulfilling the ADIA’s mission of providing the most up to date dental implant education for the entire auxiliary team.
The almost two hundred auxiliaries in attendance got off to a great start on Thursday afternoon together with the doctors listening to the Young Implantologists program. The meeting continued Thursday evening with the cocktail reception where attendees caught up with friends and colleagues from around the globe. The cocktail reception also featured an amazing array of educational and innovative table clinics and poster presentations.
The Friday morning ADIA program opened with keynote speaker Joy Millis who educated and energized the attendees with her experience and wisdom. The remainder of the day featured a stellar lineup of educators and clinicians. The highly acclaimed ADIA advanced certification courses were presented on Saturday. These certification courses are specifically designed for assistants, hygienists, practice managers and implant coordinators and provide attendees with the knowledge, skill and confidence that will make them an integral and indispensable part of the dental implant team. The certification courses are part of the requirements for ADIA fellowship, the most advanced ADIA credential. ADIA fellowship demonstrates an auxiliary’s commitment and dedication to implant dentistry and is a springboard for many ADIA main podium speakers.

ADIA Program in Las Vegas, Nevada - September 2018
Saturday morning began with Dr. Justin Moody and his discussion of “Prevention of Peri-implantitis Using Digital Dentistry Treatment Planning”, followed by Dr. Marius Steigmann addressing “Surgical & Prosthetic Soft Tissue Development.” After a short morning break, Prof. Dong-Seok Sohn covered “Simplified Management of Huge Bony Defect Caused by Peri-implantitis and Periodontitis Using Sticky Bone Substitutes and Autologous Tooth Bone in Implant Dentistry” and Dr. Lincoln Harris finished up the morning session with his lecture, “Is Evidence Based Dentistry Dead? It’s Just Knowledge.”
Dr. Ady Palti began the last session of the event with “Zero Bone and Soft Tissue Loss Concepts: 2018.” Dr. Craig Misch reviewed “Peri-implantitis: The Aftermath” and finishing up the day was Dr. Homa Zadeh with “3D Reconstruction of Atrophic Alveolar Bone by Modular Bone Augmentation (MBA)” and Dr. Howard Gluckman with “Partial Extraction Therapies”.

Together we are filling a growing need that the dental community has for advanced education in implantology. Not to mention the increasing number of participants seeking ICOI advanced credentials. Dr. Steven Chu and Dr. Kenneth Judy were responsible for this year’s program.
Dr. Stephen Chu began the day with his lecture, “Peri-implant Soft Tissue Preservation & Enhancement with Bone Allograft”. Dr. Stuart Froum followed with “Implant Complications We Never Considered 25 Years Ago When We Placed Implants”. Just before the morning break, Dr. Randolph Resnik addressed, “Avoiding Neurosensory Impairment Complications in the Posterior Mandible”. And finishing up the morning session, Dr. Daniel Buser was presented with The Robert N. Eskow NYUCD Implant Dentistry Award in Recognition of Outstanding Achievements and Significant Contributions to the Science and Clinical Application of Osseointegrated Implant Dentistry.
After lunch Dr. Ady Palti kicked off the afternoon with “Narrow Ridge Treatment Concepts: Adapting the Implant Shape to the Available Bone.” Dr. Edgard El Chaar then presented “Innovative Strategies and Techniques in Ridge Augmentation”. And Dr. Paul Petrungaro finished out the program with “Graftless Treatment Options for the Atrophic Maxillae”.

December 14-15 ,2018 ImplantoDays and the ICOI Europe organized a very interesting and successful Implant Meeting in Chisinau the capital of Moldova!
The latest trends in dental implantology were presented in Chisinau. ImplantoDays organized an extraordinary congress with lecturers from Romania, Moldova, USA, Germany, Greece and Ukraine.
It was the first time the ICOI and ImplantoDays worked together to present Implant Education in Moldavia. In cooperation with the local Dental School and the Dean Prof. Chele. This ICOI global education in Oral Implantology will be repeated every year to advance the local implant level.
More than 200 local doctors attended this great event and we hope to see all of them soon at other ICOI meetings or back in Moldavia next year.

After the great success of this first innovative conference, the second Smart Casual Dentistry Symposium took place October 5-7, 2018 in Athens, Megaron. The organizer ICOI Hellas in partnership with ICOI.
A discrete atmosphere, less formal, friendlier and more casual, combined with top level scientific presentations by top international speakers, it was once again the characteristics of the conference.
The social events were perfectly organized, as well as the innovative podium that gives the floor to young and “less young” colleagues to present their work, compete and be recognized.
It was a great scientific implant event very well organized and supported by Dr. Valavanis and his team.

The 18th International Congress of SFBSI and ICOI 2018 took place From October 29 to November 03, 2018 at the Sugar Beach Mauritius - Mauritius Organizer: FRENCH SOCIETY OF BIOMATERIALS AND IMPLANTABLE SYSTEMS (SFBSI)and the ICOI.
The congress topic was: The World is Moving Forward, Implantology too. The SFBSI and the ICOI brought together people from all the medical and implant world: dental surgeons, stomatologists, maxillofacial surgeons, prosthetists, radiologists, biologists, fundamentalists, researchers, liberals and academics interested in Implantology and global occlusal rehabilitation.
