The Mendez family are friends of your parents.

They are planning a trip to London in the summer.

They live very close to the centre of Madrid in a place called Quintana.

The family consists of Mr and Mrs Mendez, their daughter Carla, aged 12, and their son Jose, aged 10.

All of the family speak fluent English.

They would prefer to travel by air and stay in a hotel in the city centre. They plan to arrive on a Friday and leave on the following Tuesday.

They have asked for your help to plan both a fun and educational visit. There should be something planned to interest each member of the family.

Mr Mendez really likes Art, he particularly fond of modern and abstract art and is hoping to be able to see some really good examples whilst in Lon-don. Mrs Mendez wants to go shopping. She wants to by some new clothes whilst she is on holiday because she has heard that there are lots of fashionable shops and department stores; she has heard of Harrods and would like to visit but is worried that everything will be too expensive for her. One of Carla’s friends visited London last year and told her about their trip to Madame Tussauds so Carla is really excited about going there. Jose wants to see the Natural History Museum because he really likes dino-saurs and the natural world.
