WELCOME TO THE ICTACT BRIDGE 2016

The creation of digital business has started fading the severity of the digital and physical

realms, as the devices are becoming more than just devices that have raised their capability of

even performing negotiations. This has initiated the necessity of bringing the cutting edge

and disruptive technologies for developing clear digital leadership for the present and the

future, developing the sense of being technology savvy and equipping the next gen workforce.

India, with its prime goal of adopting digitalization, aims at emerging to be the much sought

after global digital leader in the near future.

The theme of ICTACT Bridge 2016 conference is “Designing the Future India” and will focus on

how a high-quality education system is a pre-requisite for our country to achieve global

excellence. The conference will host parallel tracks that concentrate on Skilling, Digitalization,

Make in India to aid the nation's growth and academic leadership. An exclusive TPO Conclave

will also be a feature of this conference. I invite all stakeholders from Academia, Industry,

Government and media to join this Digital Movement and make India an exemplary nation in

the global dome.

ICT Academy is an initiative of the Government of India in collaboration with the state Governments and Industries. ICTACT is a not-for-profit society, the

first of its kind pioneer venture under the Public-Private-Partnership (PPP) model that endeavours to train the higher education teachers and students

thereby exercises on developing the next generation teachers and industry ready students.

ICTACT was started to meet the skill requirements of the industry and generate more employment especially in tier 2 and 3 towns, the rural parts of the

country. The organization was formed with representations from the State Government of Tamil Nadu, leading companies in the ICT industry and National

Association of Software Services Companies (NASSCOM) in India.

ICTACT Bridge conference is a unique initiative of ICT Academy of Tamil Nadu (ICTACT), that aims to bridge the industry - academia gap. ICTACT Bridge® is a

platform for all the stakeholders to discuss on improving the industry-institute interaction primarily on the key issues that includes the role of technology,

innovation, applied research, entrepreneurship, future virtual world, curriculum change, industry expectations, skill development etc. It is an opportunity for

both industrialists and academicians to share their thoughts, ideas for preparing academic campuses to deliver high value industry relevant output.

ICTACT BRIDGE 2016 - DESIGNING THE FUTURE INDIADeveloping India into a developed India is not a dream, but a mission that can be accomplished. India is emerging as one of the fastest growing economies

with more than one billion consumers. India has a distinct comparative factor advantage as a vast reservoir of skilled manpower. The demographic

differentials reveal that over the next 20-30 years, India has distinct advantages in a population profile concentrated in the younger age group, where

many new opportunities can be fully optimized. However, in order to convert these opportunities into actual revenues, India Inc. will have to focus strongly

on the educational ecosystem of the nation. Only an educated populace will catalyze economic growth through multiple channels. Education sector is

undergoing a host of reforms that could possibly transform the country into a knowledge haven and enable our nation to compete with the rest of the

World successfully. “While there is no precise recipe for achieving long-term growth for the nation, high-quality education is a core driver”.

ICT Academy is an Initiative of Government of India, Government of Tamil Nadu and Industry, a pioneering venture under the Public-Private-Partnership

(PPP) model. ICTACT is an organization that creates a synergy by bringing together the strengths of educational institutions, corporate and Government

and thus creates a sustainable educational ecosystem in the nation.

ICTACT BRIDGE is a largest Industry – Institute Interaction conference, started in the year 2011 which is a unique growing platform that unites the key

stakeholders and decision makers from schools, colleges, corporate and government who work towards developing the next generation education

ecosystem and talent pool.

The 22nd Edition of ICTACT BRIDGE is scheduled on the 24th Feb 2016 at Chennai Trade Centre, Chennai. The theme of this edition is “Designing the Future

India” and will focus on how a high-quality education system is a pre-requisite for our country to achieve global excellence. The conference will host

parallel tracks that concentrate on Skilling, Digitalization, Make in India to aid the nation's growth and academic leadership. An exclusive TPO Conclave will

also be a feature of this conference.

The conference will bring the stakeholders of ICTACT viz., Industry, Academia, Innovators, R&D Organizations and Policy Makers together to discuss, share

and learn about how reforms in the education sector could impact these projects and help in designing the Future India. The Summit will be attended by

around 1,000 academicians and students from 200+ institutions, industry experts and government officials from across the state.
