IHC Beagle® 4 More than 150 years ago Charles Darwin joined the expedion of HMS Beagle. Its five-year voyage took him all over the world, enabling him to develop the scienfic foundaons for his most famous work: On the Origin of Species. His new way of thinking deeply influenced the way humans considered their origins. While Darwin was the first to comprehensively conceive evoluon as the way species develop, more than a century of evoluon in dredging preceded the concepon of Royal IHC’s newest product: the IHC Beagle®, a standardised trailing sucon hopper. Royal IHC (IHC) products are well known for their cost effecve designs, robust construcon, reliable operaon and excellent performance. The IHC product range stretches from the standard IHC Beaver® cuer sucon dredgers to the largest custom-built trailing sucon hopper dredgers. The IHC Beagle® 4 is a standard trailing sucon hopper dredger with a capacity of 4,000 cubic meters and is equipped with a single sucon tube. The maximum dredging depth is 25m. The compact robust design, combined with efficient use of installed diesel engine power, results in an unrivalled low cost per cubic meter of dredged material. The basic version is well suited for maintenance dredging. Adding opons like a bow coupling and self emptying channel makes it applicable for land reclamaon purpose as well. These opons can be added during new-building or in later stage, when the dredge is already operaonal. This modular approach makes the IHC Beagle® 4 a very versale piece of dredging equipment. Features and benefits: modern design for shallow draught dredging at low vibraon levels IHC Merwede hull shape with bulbous bow resulng in a low resistance compact vessel with high deadweight carrying capacity opmal manoeuvrability with 2 steerable thrusters IHC Merwede high efficiency dredge pumps Intuive Hopper Control Chair (IHCC) training included (class room, simulator & on the job) IHC Merwede Planned Maintenance System (IPMS) spare parts start-up kit. IHC Beagle® 4

More than 150 years ago Charles Darwin joined the expediti on of HMS Beagle. Its fi ve-year voyage took him all over the world, enabling him to develop the scienti fi c foundati ons for his most famous work: On the Origin of Species. His new way of thinking deeply infl uenced the way humans considered their origins. While Darwin was the fi rst to comprehensively conceive evoluti on as the way species develop, more than a century of evoluti on in dredging preceded the concepti on of Royal IHC’s newest product: the IHC Beagle®, a standardised trailing sucti on hopper.

Royal IHC (IHC) products are well known for their cost eff ecti ve designs, robust constructi on, reliable operati on and excellent performance. The IHC product range stretches from the standard IHC Beaver® cutt er sucti on dredgers to the largest custom-built trailing sucti on hopper dredgers.

The IHC Beagle® 4 is a standard trailing sucti on hopper dredger with a capacity of 4,000 cubic meters and is equipped with a single sucti on tube. The maximum dredging depth is 25m. The compact robust design, combined with effi cient use of installed diesel engine power, results in an unrivalled low cost per cubic meter of dredged material. The basic version is well suited for maintenance dredging. Adding opti ons like a bow coupling and self emptying channel makes it applicable for land reclamati on purpose as well. These opti ons can be added during new-building or in later stage, when the dredge is already operati onal. This modular approach makes the IHC Beagle® 4 a very versati le piece of dredging equipment.

Features and benefi ts:• modern design for shallow draught dredging at low vibrati on levels• IHC Merwede hull shape with bulbous bow resulti ng in a low resistance • compact vessel with high deadweight carrying capacity• opti mal manoeuvrability with 2 steerable thrusters• IHC Merwede high effi ciency dredge pumps• Intuiti ve Hopper Control Chair (IHCC)• training included (class room, simulator & on the job) • IHC Merwede Planned Maintenance System (IPMS)• spare parts start-up kit.
