MC Simulation of Yc,b (J/ or (nS))

• Generate Ψ(2S) -> J/Ψ ππ using Pythia 6.4– Physics: pp -> gg -> c c-bar (J/Ψ, replaced by Ψ(2S)) g, and Ψ(2S) -> J/Ψ ππ.– Modify the JobOption file to use with Pythia 6.4 on lxplus. – Change the KFPR type to produce Ψ(2S) instead of J/Ψ.– Change the MDME type to turn on Ψ(2S) -> J/Ψ ππ, and turn off all other decays.

• Generate Yc(4260) -> J/Ψ ππ

– Physics: pp -> gg -> c c-bar (J/Ψ, replaced by Yc(4260)) g, and Yc(4260) -> J/Ψ ππ.

– Change the PMAS type to set the mass of Ψ(2S) to 4.26 GeV.

– Turn on Ψ(2S) -> J/Ψ ππ only; to produce Yc(4260) -> J/Ψ ππ.

To Work on the Grid (Panda)• Running the Full Chain – running batch jobs on lxplus

– Generated 100 events of Yc(4260) -> J/Ψ ππ– Simulation of Atlas, Digitization and Event reconstruction done on lxplus

• Test of code

– Produce the AOD

• Plan to do– Running on the Grid (by using Panda) to produce the AOD files of Yc(4260) and

Yb(10.5) and their decay processes.– Studying the Monte Carlo events with physics analysis code
