Hello everyone! School has ended and summer has started.

May has been an amazing month, because there was a lot of

members at events, tons of spirit and new friendships being

made. I'm glad to capture these moments and publish it to

show what Independence Key Club is. Remember that Key

Club will still be continuing throughout the summer and there

will still be many opportunities for volunteering. Have fun and

be safe!

Hi everyone!

First off, I would like to congratulate all of you in completing

another year of school! We did it! School may be over and

you might not be able to see your friends as much, but no

worries, because you can still volunteer with Key Club and

bond with your friends as well as making new ones all while

helping out our community!

Remember to keep smiling and making the most out of

everything while you still can. It's summer and you should re-

ally take advantage of what you are able to do :)

Have a good one everyone and keep signing up for our

events!

Know More About Key Club

Did you know?

ELIMINATE WEEK

Key Club has an annual ELIMINATE WEEK internationally, celebrated in

many schools that belong to many divisions in different districts. In other

words, Key Club in other high schools celebrate the ELIMINATE WEEK

too.

Since there are many different high schools, there are many different

ways that a Key Club could host an ELIMINATE WEEK. The main purpose

of this week is to spread awareness about what The Eliminate Project is

about, fundraise for the cause, and save mothers and babies.

Remember that 2015 is the last year that The Eliminate Project will be

active, which means that this year must’ve been the last ELIMINATE

WEEK for Key Club internationally. I hope you enjoyed it while it lasts!

Know More About Key Club Miscellaneous

Officer Training Conference is an annual event for new Club Officers to

gain necessary leadership skills and training for the term. There are

various workshops provided to cover all necessary skills to be a

successful leader.

However, OTC isn’t ONLY for Club Officers, but any general members

can come too. You will learn about Key Club's Major Emphasis and

preferred charities.

This event is also hosted by many high schools international-wide.

Depending on what Region your Key Club is in, that club will be invited

to meet at a designated place along with other Key Clubs. For Inde-

pendence High School, we are designated to the Manresa Beach in

Santa Cruz. This is a great way to learn new things, gain experience,

and make a friend while you’re there.
