TOURNAMENT RULES
KL INTERNATIONAL INTER CITY KABADDI CHAMPIONSHIPS 2012

1. EVENTS

2. Eligibility and Registration
a. Participation to the Inter-City is open to kabadditeams from the cities on invitation basis only.b. Entry of teams will be at the discretion of the
organising committee for the Inter-City Championships.c. A minimum of 12 teams will be registered for the mens
competition and a minimum of 6 teams for the womenscompetition.
d. Each team must provide one (1) qualified TechnicalOfficial to assist in the officiating of thecompetition. Copy of the Technical Officialscertificate must be attached together with the entry.
e. Each team must register a maximum of 12 players for thecompetition. In addition they will be accompanied byone (1) manager and (1) coach only.
f. The weight category for the competitions are as below1. Men: 80kg and below2. Women: Open weight
g. All entries by team must be submitted before theclosing date of January 1, 2012.
h. Entry by name together with one (1) passport sizephotograph and a photocopy of the identity card orpassport must be submitted to the organisers before
January 25, 2012.i. Players must be residents of the city they represent.

j. Players may be called to identify themselves if deemednecessary.
3. Rules
a. The tournament would follow international rules.
b. All matches will be played on certified EVA foam mats.c. All players must wear uniform jersey and shorts for all
matches. All jerseys must be numbered. Only team nameor player name are allowed at the back of the jersey.Sponsors logo will only be allowed on the front side ofthe jerseys.
4. Tournament Format
a. The tournament competition format would be finalised bythe organising committee immediately after the closing
date and would be dependant on the number ofparticipating teams.
b. The draws for the events would be held in Kuala Lumpurat least one week before the competition start day.
c. Incomplete matches which may occur due to unavoidablecircumstances shall be played at the same venue at theearliest possible time on the same day.
5. Managers meeting
a. The managers meeting would be held on the 16th
February, 2012.b. The weigh in of all players for would be held
immediately before the managers meeting.
6. Jury of Appeal
a. The Jury of Appeal would be made of three members. TheChief Referee, the Competition Chairman and TechnicalDelegate.
b. The Jury will be responsible to mete out disciplinaryaction against any player or team that contravenes the
Rules of the game or act in a manner which bringsdisrepute or disrupt any aspect of the tournament.
c. Such disciplinary actions may include suspension orfine.
7. General conditions
a. The tournament shall be conducted in accordance withthe international rules.
b. Umpires/Referees/Scorers/Assistant Scorers will beprovided for all matches.
c. Competitors play at their own risk. The organisers,hosts and sponsors will not be held responsible for any

personal injury or loss of any other mishaps during thetournament.
d. In all aspects, the decision of the CompetitionChairman shall be final.
e. The Organising Committee reserves the right to alter
the above conditions and the programmes in any way itdeems fit.
f. The Challenge Trophies will remain the property of thethe organising committee.
g. All appeals/objections in writing together with a feeof RM100/- shall be lodged with the CompetitionChairman not later than 30 minutes after the conclusionof the said game. The decision of the Appeal Committeeis final. If the appeal is rejected the fee will beretained by the organisers.
h. Team managers of each team shall, 30 minutes before the
commencement of each match submit to the officer incharge the teams list for the said match. No changeshall be allowed thereafter.
i. The organisers will provide full board and Lodging forall participating teams from February 2-6 for a maximumof 15 persons only. Any additional members in thecontingent will have to pay for their own board andLodging. Each additional member would be charged RM 75per day for board and lodging.
j. Teams must pay their own way to participate in thetournament.
k. Internal transportation would also be provided for allteams.
