ABOUT PDEXCIL
Powerloom Development & Export Promotion Council (PDEXCIL) is set up by the Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India. The main objective of PDEXCIL is to promote, support, develop, advance and increase powerlooms and expor t of powerloom fabrics and made-ups. PDEXCIL participate / organise in various International Events, Buyer Seller Meets and Reverse Buyer Seller Meets for promotion of India’s textile exports, connecting with the international market and development and expansion of powerloom industry within India.
PREVIOUS EDITIONS OF REVERSE BUYER SELLER MEETS OF PDEXCIL:
• th th IITExpo Bengaluru 2016 - from 17 -18 November 2016, 51 selected foreign buyers from 13 countries such as, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Zimbabwe, Poland etc.
• th th IITExpo Ichalkaranji 2018 - from 6 -8 December 2018, 57 selected foreign buyers from 12 countries such as Vietnam, Kenya, Egypt, France, Russia, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh etc.
• th th IND-TEXPO 2019, Coimbatore - from 27 -29 January 2019, 53 selected buyers from 10 countries such as Turkey, Myanmar, Cambodia, South Africa Bangladesh, Sri Lanka etc. 16.4 Mn US $.

BUYERS / IMPORTING COUNTRIES VISITING IITEXPO MUMBAI 2020:
• India’s total textile and clothing export in the FY 2018-19 was about US$ 38 Billion.
• Some of the major importing countries are USA, EU, Bangladesh, UAE, UK and China.
• ndBangladesh ranks 2 with 490.54 Mn US $ in 2018-19 in Cotton textiles and 4th with 301.32 Mn US $ in man made textiles.
• rdSri Lanka ranks 3 with 245.25 Mn US $ for cotton textiles and 11th for export of man made textiles with 99.34 Mn US $.
• UAE and UK are among the top 10 export destinations for cotton, manmade and silk fabrics and made ups.
• Vietnam has emerged as a manufacturing hub in past few years and is targeting to attain export turnover of US $ 40 billion of textiles and apparel.

• Standard booth of 6 sq. mtr - Rs.40,000/- + 18% tax (GST) =
Rs.47,200/- (Rupees forty seven thousand and two hundred only).
• Standard booth of 9 sq.mtr - Rs.60,000/- + 18% tax (GST) =
Rs.70,800/- (Rupees seventy thousand and eight hundred only).
