I am Ilham. I’m an enthusiast of all things, relentlessly optimistic and I thrive on creating solutions. I like to work on the de-tails of things but rarely lose sight of the bigger picture. I am a great observer and very sensitive to carefully understanding situations that are unfamiliar to me. I enjoy putting myself in challenging situations to extend my boundaries. Creating ad-ventures and encountering people that I can learn from or teach, are one of the most enjoyable things in life. I have always been very athletic. Sports such as running, kickboxing and tennis help me to stay balanced which reflects in my work. I have excellent communication skills and while I am a strong team player, I can also use initiative and excel individually.

REMOVE &EXPOSE
A journey through Chicago’s public soil treatment plant
Site StrategyMasterplan: An Island of Recycling Centers Initial Concept
Remove and Expose is a project that is based on an environmental urgen-cy in the outskirts of Chicago (USA). Chicago’s west side is dealing with ex industrial sites that are now vacant and surrounded by problematic neigh-bourhoods. My proposal is to create an Urban Recycling Park; targeted at
it being publicly accessible.
I believe there is a great future in these new typologies of publicly accessible industrial/agrarian buildings - it might even be the only way to make people more
aware of their surroundings and how they treat it.

Building Technology MSc.Y1 - TUDelftMarch 2014 - June 2014
Building in extreme circumstances
That was the main idea behind this research station; from transport of materials to accepting the reality of shifting ice sheets on the Sou-th Pole. My project is based on how a building can aid in harvesting energy only by using melted fresh water and salt ocean water - the osmotic process.
External Perspective | The research pod is meant to respond to melting ice caps
Long Section | The pod has a strict seperation in terms of use by people and services

A modular synergy of soft- & hardscape
HexScape consists of an intelligent network of hexagonal modules with a multitude of functions. Each module is loadbearing and communicates
with one another to adapt to occurring changes. The building completely interacts with its open spaces as these have shaped the formal expression
of the building. The modules, such as wind- solar and blind modules are parametric in the sense that they are positioned according to climatic
data.
Design Development | From points, representing function of space - to surface definition
Structural modular panels that define the surface of the building, relating to internal functions
Loadbearing climatic modules with variable functions
Form an integratic network that communicates internally and with its environment - adapting real-time to occuring changes
Which collectively form Hexscape, a synergy between its hard- and softscape through its modularity. Shaped to and by its neighbours and context

Retail, agriculture , education
Located IN a river on Canvey Island, a place secluded from the rest of Essex. The idea is to use smartphones as a medium to reserve plots of land on the site, residential students are then able to carry out the commands sent by the plot owners.
I aim for people to bridge the distance through virtual means and make this place one of conflict, generation of ideas and a new way of enjoying agriculture on a commu-nity scale.

Exterior Render | Rustic Tuscan Style Villa
Resort in the Adriatic
I was involved in the concept stage of a large sca-le resort in the adriatic sea. A set of tuscan-style villas were part of the larger masterplan and had
to deal with a challenging site.
It was interesting to be exposed to a project of this scale because of the dynamics between the stakeholders and negotiations that affected the
project at a fast pace.
