If you have sensitive skin or have never used any self-tanning products, a patch test is required at least 24 hours prior to treatment. Please exfoliate 24 hours prior to treatment. Do not use any other self-tanning products 1 week before treatment. Do not wax or shave at least 24 hours prior to treatment. On the day of your spray tan do not wear any make-up, deodorant, perfume or body lotion as these may react with the tanning agents.

Steam Room: From ancient Rome the Steam Room is used to provide many of the benefits of a modern sauna, but with a much lower temperature. The humid environment is ideal for those with respiratory problems who would otherwise not be able to benefit from a thermal experience. Featured lighting within the Steam Room, along with the addition of herbal essence provides an environment that rejuvenates the body and mind. Temperature: between 40ºC - 45ºC

Aroma Grotto: This room reflects the therapeutic effects of aromatherapy which is used increasingly in modern medicine. Aromatherapy can have a profound effect on your mind and behaviour by soothing away the stresses of modern life. The experience within this room should leave you feeling rejuvenated and calmed; ready to tackle another day. Temperature: 35ºC - 40ºC

Bio Sauna: Offers many of the benefits of the Rock Sauna in a more comfortable environment for those not wishing to experience the very high temperature of the Rock Sauna. As an added benefit a relaxing colour light therapy system is employed which gives an overall soothing effect thus heightening your sense of well-being. Temperature: between 60ºC - 65ºC

Halotherapy Room: The benefits of salt therapy are wide-ranging. Salt levels affect our: cell activity, energy and blood sugar levels. A natural disinfectant salt is antimicrobial and antibacterial. The negatively charged ions in salt improve our health and mood. Inhaling particles may reduce inflammation and congestion in the lungs, improve respiratory conditions such as asthma, allergies and sinus congestion. Studies have shown that people with asthma and other ailments breathe easier after halotherapy. Temperature: between 21ºC - 24ºC

Rock Sauna: The Rock Sauna is the traditional Finnish sauna experience. The highest level of purification of the body and skin whilst also providing the greatest relief from muscular pain for those who enjoy higher temperatures. Temperature: between 80ºC - 90ºC

Vitality For Body & Soul

Hydrotherapy Pool: The outdoor pool lounger seats provide a unique and relaxing laid back body position. Built-in air bubbles gently massage legs and upper body and the seated area provides additional water jets that give an intense massage to your back. A handrail is fitted at the front of the pool, which allows you to experience the therapeutic effects of the warm water whilst effortlessly floating. Our water cannon finishes off the outdoor pool to provide an invigorating water feature to either watch for relaxation or to thoroughly drench your body in a large jet of water.

The indoor seated area provides all the same features as the outdoor area in a sheltered environment with a lower level of water, ideal for those less confident in the deeper outdoor water or when the weather is less pleasing.

The recuperative and healing properties of hydrotherapy are based on its mechanical and thermal effects. Hydrotherapy exploits the body’s reaction to hot and cold stimuli, to the protracted application of heat, to pressure exerted by the water and to the sensation it gives. The nerves carry impulses felt at the skin deeper into the body where they are: instrumental in stimulating the immune system, influencing the production of stress hormones, invigorating the circulation and digestion, encouraging blood flow and lessening pain sensitivity. Temperature: between 34ºC - 38ºC

Heated Swimming Pool: Whether you are a serious swimmer or just enjoy a quick leisurely swim you will love our 18 metre heated swimming pool. Temperature: between 28ºC - 30ºC

What You Need To Know About Your Spa Day

Once you have booked your Spa Day you will receive confirmation detailing your booking and any outstanding information we may require from you to complete your booking.

• All treatments are subject to availability.

• Please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your treatment time to guarantee that your treatment begins on time. This will allow you to be fully relaxed and have completed or updated your wellness questionnaire. Arriving late for your appointment will have an impact on your treatment time.

• All our treatment times include consultation and aftercare advise.

Last admittance to the Village Spa is one hour prior to the closing time.

Spa Day packages Monday to Friday arriving at 09:30 and departing at 16:00.

Spa Day packages Saturday arriving at 09:00 and departing at 13:30 – Lunch served at 13:30.

Spa Day packages Sunday arriving at 14:00 and departing at 19:00 – Lunch served at 12:30.

Health Conditions

Please advise a member of the Village Spa’s team about any health conditions, pregnancies, allergies, injuries or if you are currently undergoing any treatment or investigations prior to your arrival so that we can ensure that our facilities and treatments are suitable.

Loss Or Damage Of Personal Items

Please keep your personal belongings in the lockers provided. We regret that we cannot be responsible for any loss or damage of personal items at the Village Spa. We recommend you leave all valuables at home.

Pregnancy

We welcome expectant mums into our Village Spa at any stage of your pregnancy. We recommend you refrain from using the thermal suites during pregnancy. On making your booking please advise the Village Spa’s team about your pregnancy stage so that we can guide you towards the best treatments. Some of our treatments are not suitable for pregnancies within the first trimester.

Age & Time Restrictions

For Health & Safety reasons children under the age of 16 years are not permitted in the thermal suites. Treatments are only available to persons aged 16 years and over. Time restrictions apply for child swims. Please ask at the Village Spa’s reception for further details.

Spa Etiquette

In an effort to provide a totally relaxed environment mobile phones are not permitted in the Village Spa’s treatment areas or facilities.

• Photographs and videos are not permitted to be taken in the Village Spa at any time.

• The relaxation lounge within the treatment area is a quiet space; we ask all our guests to kindly respect this.

• A swimming costume is mandatory when using our thermal suites.

• Underwear must be worn during treatments.

• Jewellery needs to be removed prior to treatments commencing.

Payment & Cancellation Policy

Full non-transferable and non-refundable payment is required at the time of booking.

A minimum of 72 hours notice is required to reschedule or amend your booking within six weeks from the original date.

We regret we are unable to reschedule bookings due within the 72 hours period and therefore your experience will be cancelled.

The credit / debit card used to book this pre-paid rate must be presented to reception on arrival at the hotel.

All Village Spa group bookings with 8 persons or more requires a £20.00 per person deposit. Full payment is due 7 days prior to your reservation date.

At the Expiry Date any remaining balance will be lost. Lost, stolen or damaged Gift Cards cannot be replaced and you will lose any remaining balance.
