The staff of Graphic Mac currently consists of two full-time people - our graphicdesigner, Verla “Peb” Elliott, and our Business Manager, Vivian Fountaine.Additional freelance designers, illustrators and programmers are hired as needed.

Peb Elliott: A Viet-Nam Era veteran of the U.S. Navy, Peb served a 5-year enlistmentas an Illustrator Draftsman. In her various duty stations Peb served as a draftsman, paste-up artist, lithographer, editor and photographer for a command newsletter, and produced art for sound/slide training programs for F-14 fighter pilots.

Peb later worked as a temp for local corporations, including McDonnell Douglas at KSCat the time of the Challenger disaster. When the shuttle program returned to flight in 1988Peb was hired into the Publications group of Lockheed Space Operations. For the next 8years she designed and produced materials for use by upper management of the ShuttleProcessing Team for presentations, reports, manuals, and proposals. Assignments alsoincluded designing company displays and certificates, layout on company newsletters,creating databases, and maintaining the work control database.

When United Space Alliance took over the shuttle program Peb transferred to the OrbiterMaintenance Department in the OSB where she maintained and originated illustrationsfor orbiter maintenance manuals. After performing these duties for a year there werefurther cutbacks at KSC and Peb took a voluntary layoff in order to start Graphic MacDesign Service.

Vivian Fountaine: A disabled Gulf War veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, Vivian servedon the front lines in Saudi during the Gulf War. She participated in organizing andprearranging 2 hot meals a day for over 10,000 Marines, soldiers, sailors and airmen.

Vivian’s duties during her 10 1/2 years in the Marines included being a baker and officemanager for Base Food Service in Cherry Point, N.C., and acting as personal secretaryfor the Base Food Service Officer. She managed the administrative work, researchedand prepared internal reports and documents, researched and assembled appropriatebackground material for agenda items and special programs, and provided instructionsspecifying security requirements.

Vivian received her degree in Business Management at Park College, Camp Pendelton,California. After graduating with honors in August, 1996, Vivian worked as office managerfor Area Rule Engineering, Inc., leaving there in April of 1998 to work full-time for GraphicMac.
