The Legend.
Legends which do more than just write his-tory – they also bring history to life. Shaped by the mountains, an enthusiasm for sport and a desire to succeed. A passion which becomes a zest for life.
Between the legends
of yesterday and heroes of today.
When we talk about legends, we are not just referring to the past since Kitzbühel hosts sporting events which write history year after year. The legend surrounding the Hahnenkamm race remains unrivalled. It is
simply THE race. A race which leaves both the participants and onlookers short of breath and describes the character of this small town better than any words could.
The legendary ‘wonder’ ski team: Ernst Hinterseer, Hias Leitner, Christian Pravda, Fritz Huber jr., Anderl Molterer, Toni Sailer.
One man wrote stories about art, tourism and architecture. Kitzbühel’s colourful houses, illustrated by Alfons Walde.
When history becomes the present day.
The name Kitzbühel is shaped by the ex-tensive landscape paired with the majestic mountain backdrop of the Wilder Kaiser, Kitz-büheler Horn and Hahnenkamm and has al-ways represented two main things – sport and

the times. Kitzbühel both motivates and cap-tivates its guests with a unique historical old town influenced by Alfons Walde and prom-ises wonderful times ahead.
