— URVI KALRA ’18 Environmental Studies
SHRI RAM SCHOOL NEW DELHI, INDIA
“Creative Thought Matters means a willingness to push intellectual boundaries. There are no safe or easy answers. I tell my students they need to know this, not because it is on an exam, but because that’s what it takes to be an effective advocate in the real world.”
— BOB TURNER Associate Professor of Political Science

CREATIVE THOUGHT AT WORK
“I’m so thankful for the creative community of classmates and professors at Skidmore who allowed me to explore my passions and support me. Beyond my French major, I was able to honor another huge part of myself. I suppose that’s the beauty of a liberal arts school.”
— ZAZIE BEETZ ’13 Actress, Atlanta; Netflix series, Easy; and Deadpool II
“Skidmore gave me the tools to take my natural interests to the next level. It’s exhilarating to work at the leading edge of science and to push the boundaries of what we know, especially when there could be implications for understanding, treating or preventing disease.”
— JONATHAN BRESTOFF-PARKER ’08 Co-founder, with Skidmore professor T.H. Reynolds, and CEO of Symmetry Therapeutics

Dubbed the Spa City, it’s known for its focus on health, its history as the “turning point” of the American Revolution, and its horses, at the nation’s oldest operating thoroughbred race course.
