1 2antes de conectar su refrigerador
indicaciones generales
Retire las bases, empaque y demás aditamentos del mismo.Para quitar el pegamento dejado por las cintas adhesivas de sujeción, se debe de utilizar un trapo humedecido con agua y jabón neutro.
Seleccione el área para ubicar el refrigerador, ésta debemantenerse limpia y sin humedad para evitar problemas de oxidación.
colocación
Considere las siguientes distancias mínimas para garantizar una circulación de aire adecuada, sobre todo si se va a empotrar el producto: de 2 a 3 cm en los lados, 10 cm en la parte posterior y de 5 a 10 cm en la parte superior.
Aléjelo de elementos que generen calor como estufas, calentadores, o exponerlo a los rayos del sol, ya que ocasionará que trabaje más y sea menos eficiente, incrementando el consumo de energía eléctrica.
No lo recargue contra la pared. Con esta medida estará garantizando un correcto desempeño del producto, impidiendo que los componentes de su refrigerador toquen directamente las paredes o muebles, evitandoruidos desagradables.
nivelación
Para nivelar el refrigerador utilice los dos tornillos niveladores, insértelos y ajústelos de manera que descansen firmemente en el piso.La parte de enfrente deberá quedar un poco más alta que la parte posterior dejando ligeramente inclinado hacia atrás su refrigerador, esto facilitará que las puertas cierren por sí mismas, y evitará la pérdida de frío.

Antes de conectar la clavija en el enchufe, limpie el interior de su refrigerador usando un trapo o esponja suave y jabón neutro, o una solución de bicarbonato de sodio.

requisitos mínimos de la instalación eléctrica:
Características: 127 V ~ 60 Hz de uso residencial. Provista preferentemente con un interruptor general y circuitos independientes balanceados, protegidos por listón fusible y/o pastilla termomagnética de 15 a 20 A Máx.
Su refrigerador está provisto de un cable tomacorriente polarizado tipo Y con cable a tierra integrado. Por ningún motivo elimine la tierra colocando un adaptador, ni corte el cable para reemplazar su clavija por una de dos terminales.
Por su seguridad, su instalación debe ser realizada como se muestra en la figura A.
Si su instalación eléctrica no cuenta con este tipo de contactoadquiera uno, el cual debe ser instalado por un técnico calificado, de no ser así, es entera responsabilidad del cliente cualquier riesgo personal y/o material que pueda ocasionar el producto.
Instale su refrigerador en el contacto más cercano. Uso de Extensión Eléctrica: A causa de condiciones potencialmentepeligrosas, se recomienda EVITAR el uso de la misma. En elcaso de que decida utilizarla, es absolutamente necesarioque sea una conexión aprobada por un organismo certificadola cual contenga conexión a tierra y soporte un rango mínimoeléctrico de 15A y 120V.
Evite en la medida de lo posible conectar otro aparato eléctrico en el mismo contacto que está utilizando para surefrigerador mientras se encuentre en funcionamiento.Esto evitará tener variaciones de voltaje y calentamientosen el aparato.
Para conectar y desconectar su refrigerador, sujete el tomacorriente por la clavija y estire. Nunca jale el cordón.
Si usted vive en una región donde hay variaciones de tensión nominal, tenga las siguientes precauciones:
• No conecte su refrigerador en el enchufe.
• Instale un regulador automático de voltaje con una potencia mínima de 1000 W.
• Asegúrese que el regulador soporte las variaciones de tensión que haya en su región.

• Pida que un electricista calificado verifique el enchufe de la pared y el circuito, para asegurarse que la salida estédebidamente conectada a tierra.
• Para efectuar la conexión a tierra, siga las normas de puestaa tierra y llame a un electricista calificado.
Si el cordón de alimentación es dañado, este debe ser reemplazado por el fabricante, su agente de servicio o personal calificado para evitar cualquier riesgo.
calentamiento de zonas cercanas al congelador
Su refrigerador cuenta con un dispositivo que evita la condensación. El calentamiento de algunas zonas externas de su refrigerador es normal. Esto ocurre para evitar la condensación de gotas de agua en el exterior de su refrigerador. No obstante, en condiciones de alta temperatura y alta humedad en el ambiente, pudiera llegar a formarse una ligera condensación. Seque con un trapo suave.
primera conexión
• Deje reposar el refrigerador de 4 a 6 horas antes deconectarlo para que permita que repose el aceite delcompresor.
• Antes de conectar el refrigerador gire la perilla del control de temperatura del enfriador hasta la posición media (entre 4-6).
• Conecte la clavija o enchufe a la corriente.
• Deje que funcione vacío y cerrado durante 4 horas antesde introducir los alimentos.
• Evite abrir la puerta para que se alcance la temperatura deseada.
• Si desea colocar su refrigerador en otro lugar debe des- conectarlo antes de moverlo.
• Cuando ya esté ubicado en el sitio elegido, repetir los pasos ya mencionados.

control de temperatura del enfriadorPara regular la temperatura del compartimiento del enfriador, se debe girar la perilla hacia la posición deseada. La perilla de control de temperatura del refrigerador está ubicada en el interior de dicho compartimiento, en algunos casos será necesario el uso de una moneda para hacer girar la perilla.

La temperatura del compartimiento del congelador, seajusta seleccionando el nivel de congelamiento en la perilladel control de temperatura, ubicada en el interior deeste compartimiento.
nota: La temperatura interior puede variar dependiendode la temperatura ambiente. En los meses de calor (verano)es posible que el control de temperatura necesite ajustarsepara que enfríe más y en los meses de frío (invierno) paraque enfríe menos.

12El sistema de enfriamiento Twist Air / Maxi Frío garantizaque el frío circule de manera homogénea al ser distribuidopor todo su refrigerador y mantiene las temperaturasóptimas en cada rincón.
Es importante que las salidas para la circulación de aire,nunca estén obstruidas.
Al abrir la puerta de su refrigerador es normal que seempañen las parrillas de cristal templado debido a la entradade humedad.
cajones
Dependiendo del modelo de su refrigerador, éste puedeestar provisto de varios tipos de cajones.
El cajón de carnes frías, puede ser ubicado en cualquier punto a todo lo ancho de la parrilla; la ubicación recomen-dada para colocar la parrilla que sostiene al cajón es elprimer nivel de arriba hacia abajo.
El cajón para legumbres individual está diseñado paraconservar frescas las frutas y verduras. Utilice la divisióndel cajón para no mezclar las y optimizar su acomodo(sólo aplica en algunos modelos).
Los modelos de lujo cuentan con 2 cajones para facilitarel almacenamiento independiente de frutas y verduras.
En algunos modelos el cajón o los cajones cuentan concontrol de humedad.
control de humedad
El cajón de legumbres mantiene la temperatura y humedadadecuada para el almacenamiento de sus alimentos, con-servando sus características naturales.
El uso adecuado del control de humedad permite regularel paso de aire hacia el interior del cajón.
Es recomendable mantener el control en los orificios demenor tamaño para conservar los vegetales de hojas verdes,y en los orificios de mayor tamaño para la conservación defrutas.

Su refrigerador no necesita ser descongelado, ya que realizael deshielo automáticamente (No Frost).

para retirar los cajones:
Saque el cajón hasta el tope, levántelo ligeramente paraque salga de su riel y jálelo hacia afuera.
Si requiere retirar el ensamble de cajones y tapas, jálelocomo una parrilla normal.
parrillas
Algunos modelos cuentan con parrillas de cristal templadocon marco plástico y borde antiderrames. Esto evitará quepequeños derrames de líquidos ensucien todo su refrige-rador. O bien, otros modelos cuentan con parrillas de alambrón. En ambos casos las parrillas son multiposiciones.La carga máxima recomendada para esta parrilla, es de 25 kg (55 Lb).
en caso de que necesite retirar las parrillas de cristal
Remueva cualquier alimento u objeto apoyado en ellos.
Sujete la parrilla con las dos manos por la parte frontal,como se muestra en la figura.
Empuje el cristal con las yemas de los dedos hacia ustedligeramente.
Una vez que la parrilla se levantó por la parte trasera,desplácela hacia usted, sin soltarla.
Para volver a colocar la parrilla sobre el riel deseado,asegúrese que este riel quede entre la ceja de la parrilla yla superficie, y empuje hasta sentir el tope de ensamblede la parrilla.
Para cambiar las otras parrillas proceda de la misma forma.
medias parrillas
Su refrigerador puede contar con la versatilidad de lasmedias parrillas, éstas pueden ser colocadas únicamenteen los primeros tres niveles de su refrigerador.
Tenga cuidado de retirar todos los alimentos colocadossobre esta área y de sostenerla con ambas manos, si deseaajustar o retirar las parrillas.

Para ajustar la posición de sus parrillas, levante ligeramentede la parte frontal de ésta y deslice hacia el frente hasta quequede liberada de los puntos que la sujetan; aproximadamentea la mitad de la carrera de deslizamiento, retire lateralmentela parrilla. Tenga cuidado de retirar todos los alimentoscolocados sobre esta área y de sostenerla con ambas manos.
La colocación de la media parrilla es muy similar, introduzcahasta aproximadamente la parte central del gabinete, apoyeésta contra el lateral de su refrigerador y empuje hacia atráspara que ésta quede sujeta en sus puntos.
La parrilla no es completamente horizontal, tiene una ligeraelevación en la parte central, con la finalidad de permitir quequede horizontal cuando cosas pesadas sean colocadas enésta; esto es completamente normal. La carga máxima reco-mendada para esta parrilla, es de 8 kg (17.6 Lb.)
piso removible de congelador
En algunos modelos, el piso congelador puede ser retiradopara facilitar la limpieza en un posible derramamiento delíquidos.
Jale el piso hacia usted para ser removido.
Evite que líquidos u objetos caigan al interior del ducto deaire.
Para obtener un correcto funcionamiento del refrigerador, elpiso siempre debe de estar colocado en su posición original;después de realizar cualquier limpieza, coloque nuevamenteel piso del congelador deslizándolo suavemente.
anaqueles
Según el modelo de su refrigerador, puede venir equipado con puerta de doble capacidad que es la más grande del mercado.
anaqueles deslizables
Algunos modelos cuentan con anaqueles deslizables los cualespermiten gran versatilidad en el almacenamiento y distribucióninterna.
Para cambiar de posición los anaqueles o retirarlos si así lodesea, remueva primero los alimentos almacenados en estospara evitar que se caigan durante el ajuste; deslice gentilmentelos anaqueles hasta la posición deseada.

anaquel gaveta
Su refrigerador puede venir instalado de fábrica con la gaveta, en la cual usted tiene la versatilidad y conveniencia de almacenaje de cosas como mantequilla, latas y frascos pequeños; se recomienda no almacenar quesos y carnes frías en este espacio.
Para acceder a los anaqueles posteriores: levante ligeramenteel seguro de la gaveta para que ésta pueda girar libremente;asegúrese de regresar a su posición original y verifique que quede asegurada.
La carga máxima recomendada es de 2 kg. (4 lb). Evite quelos menores se cuelguen del anaquel, éste se puede romperdebido al sobrepeso.
Antes de cerrar la puerta de su refrigerador verifique que el anaquel gaveta esté en su posición original y sujeto con el seguro.
anaquel ultracapacidad
Anaquel con gran capacidad y versatilidad en la puerta. Usted puede almacenar recipientes grandes y botellas de 4 litros (un galón).
anaquel botellas y latas
Anaquel que proporciona el espacio justo para almacenamiento de latas en la parte frontal y en la parte posterior de este anaquel, usted podrá almacenar botellas altas. Adicionalmente, está ergonómicamente diseñado para que los productos puedan ser cómodamente alcanzados.
anaquel dos profundidades
Adecuado para colocar recipientes pequeños como yogurt para beber, jugos, tetrapack, pequeños barnices de uñas, etc. es ideal para guardar pequeños frascos que se pudieran llegar a voltear en otros anaqueles.

• Charola para hielos: Con la cual usted puede fabricar el doble de hielos.
• Hueveras: Este accesorio le ayudará a acomodar una gran cantidad de huevos, evitando que se rompan.

nuevo display interno y externomodelos de súper lujo (acero inoxidable)
Los modelos de súper lujo con display exterior están equipados con las siguientes funciones:
función de vacaciones
Esta función le permitirá ahorrar energía cuando salga de vacaciones (no se recomienda en salidas mayores a 15días). En el caso que sean vacaciones de más de 15 días,desconecte, limpie y deje las puertas abiertas de su refrige-rador para que se ventile.
La función de vacaciones se activa directamente oprimiendo el botón, se desactiva oprimiendo nuevamente el botón o al abrir la puerta del enfriador, usted podrá notarlomediante una señal sonora y la parte superior del botón se iluminará. Además del indicador luminoso, usted podrá ver que el dígito de la pantalla avanzará lentamente hasta desactivar la función.
turbo
Esta función acelera el tiempo de enfriamiento y por consiguiente, aumenta la velocidad de congelamiento.
La función turbo se activa oprimiendo directamente el botón y se desactiva oprimiéndolo nuevamente o después de cumplir con el ciclo óptimo establecido de acuerdo a las necesidades específicas de cada aplicación.
Además del indicador luminoso, usted observará que el dígito de la pantalla avanzará rápidamente por una hora. Al término de este lapso, regresará a su condición normal.
nota: No se pueden activar ambas funciones al mismotiempo.
alarma
Esta función le indica con una señal sonora cuando la puerta del enfriador permanece abierta por más de un minuto, (dejar la puerta abierta hacer que el refrigeradorsea menos eficiente y que consuma más energía).
Se activa o desactiva directamente oprimiendo el botón. Usted podrá advertirlo mediante una señal sonora, la parte superior del botón se iluminará.

seguro
Esta función bloqueará su display impidiendo que alguienmás cambie su programación.
Para activar o desactivar, pulse simultáneamente por 3segundos los botones de alarma y vacaciones. En la partecentral aparecerá por unos instantes la letra L (Lock)restaurándose nuevamente el nivel de frío.
nivel de frío
Esta función se encuentra tanto en el display internocomo externo.
Oprimiendo este botón aumenta el nivel de frío delrefrigerador, el rango va de 1 a 9, siendo 9 el más frío.
nota: Su display es capaz de detectar la presencia de unafalla, la cual será indicada por la letra F, cuando ésto su-ceda por favor llame a servicio técnico.
Para el accionamiento de las funciones no se necesita unafuerza excesiva sobre los botones. TODAS LAS FUNCIONESTARDAN EN ACCIONARSE 2 SEGUNDOS.

Su refrigerador cuenta con un despachador de agua dellenado manual que le permite obtener agua fría por elexterior y disminuir el consumo de energía.
Limpie este sistema antes de usarse por primera vez y repitacada 30 días sin recurrir a detergentes u otros limpiadorescon aroma. Para hacerlo, quite el tanque inclinándolo haciael frente y haciendo presión como se indica en la figura A.
Enjuáguelo con agua limpia, después tírela y vuelva a colocarel tanque.

·Para ubicar el contenedor en su posición original,
asegúrese de que la boquilla inferior del tanque
ensamble correctamente en el orificio de la puerta, esto
se hace colocándolo hacia abajo y después empujando el
tanque hacia atrás, de tal manera que embone con la
puerta haciendo “clic”. (Ver figura C)
·Evite llenar el contenedor a tope para que no exista
desbordamiento del agua. El nivel máximo de agua está
indicado a 2.75 lts.
·El fabricante no se hace responsable por el uso del
despachador con otro tipo de líquidos ajenos al agua
natural ya que éstos pueden causar un mal
funcionamiento en el sistema.
Si el contenedor de agua no está bien colocado puede
haber escurrimiento y no saldrá agua por el dispensador
de la puerta.
Es posible que, si el despachador de agua deja de
utilizarse periódicamente, el agua tenga un sabor extraño
en las ejecuciones posteriores.
No remueva las partes del despachador excepto el
tanque, la tapa del tanque y la rejilla colectora de gotas.
Después de despachar agua, la caída de algunas gotas es
normal, usted puede minimizar esto retirando el vaso
lentamente de la palanca o actuador.·
En algunos casos, debido a que se forma una ligera
condensación, también es posible que puedan caer
algunas gotas.
Para abastecer el agua, retire la tapa como se muestra en
la figura D, vierta EXCLUSIVAMENTE AGUA PURA Y
POTABLE con un vaso o una jarra hasta que el líquido
llegue a la medida de 2.75Lts marcada en el extremo
derecho del tanque.

Practihielo
Algunos modelos cuentan con un dispositivo diseñadopara la óptima fabricación de hielo, el Practihielo. El cualse encuentra ubicado en la puerta del congeladorproporcionándole un mayor espacio en el interior paracongelar sus alimentos.
nota: Cuando utilice el Practihielo es muy importante quelos anaqueles del congelador estén colocados.
para quitarlo
Para obtener los hielos retire el cajon jalándolo hacia usted.
Para llenar nuevamente las hieleras, retire el cassettedeslizándolo con cuidado hacia afuera.
para llenarlo
Una vez afuera de su congelador gire el cassette en sentidoopuesto a las manecillas del reloj, hasta dejarlo horizontalsobre una superficie plana antes de llenarlo. Sí a usted sele hace más sencillo llenarlo verticalmente, también puedehacerlo.

Coloque la tapa nuevamente ejerciendo presión.

No vierta agua hasta que el tanque esté
colocado correctamente sobre la puerta.
Empuje por la parte central y hacia atrás la palanca del
dispensador con un vaso hasta que salga el agua y
manténgalo presionado hasta que se sirva la cantidad de

En el caso de algún derrame eventual de gotas deslice la
bandeja inferior o colector de gotas hacia arriba y retire hacia
fuera (Ver figura F), tire el agua y colóquela nuevamente

recomendaciones de conservación
Se recomienda guardar los alimentos en recipientes con tapa,empacados o utilizando materiales que los mantengan sella-dos, tales como papel aluminio, algún plastificado o usandoun portaviandas.
No coloque alimentos calientes en el enfriador o el congelador,espere a que tomen la temperatura ambiente.
Procure abrir las puertas solamente el tiempo necesario paracolocar o retirar alimentos o bebidas. De esta forma ustedreducirá el consumo de energía y mejorando el rendimientode su refrigerador.
Si está abriendo y cerrando constantemente la puerta delenfriador para introducir o retirar alimentos, ésta puedepresentar algo de dificultad para abrirse. Esto es normal debidoal vacío que se forma en el interior del refrigerador por el intercambio de aire de diferentes temperaturas. Espere de 10a 15 segundos y las puertas abrirán con facilidad nuevamente.
Guarde siempre la cebolla dentro de una bolsa de plástico orecipiente hermético para evitar que su olor contamine.
No guarde ajo dentro del refrigerador, el frío y la obscuridadpromueven su germinación.

Las hieleras cuentan con un control de nivel de agua, sí ustedlo excede, el agua se derramará.
Con las perillas de frente a usted, gire el cassette en sentidode las manecillas del reloj. Las hieleras quedaran en posicionhorizontal.
Finalmente, coloque de nuevo el cassette dentro del practi-hielo. Desplácelo sobre sus rieles asegurando que llegue hastafinal. Espere a que se haga el hielo.
Asegúrese de secar el exceso de agua en la parte inferior delcassette antes de introducirlo a su congelador.
Desmoldar
Gire cada perilla en el sentido de las manecillas del reloj hastaque caigan los hielos en el cajón de la parte inferior. El cajónsólo puede almacenar los hielos de las 3 hileras.
Asegúrese que el cajón de hielos esté vacio antes del siguientedesmoldeo de hielos.
Limpiela base donde es colocado el cajón por lo menos unavez a la semana.

Al almacenar los alimentos en el congelador, preparepequeñas porciones, esto facilitará un congelamientomás rápido y una utilización integral de cada porción.
Si desea congelar rápidamente alimentos o fabricar cubosde hielo, se recomienda colocarlos sobre la parrilla delcongelador.
Observe siempre la fecha de caducidad de los productoscongelados indicada por el fabricante.
Una vez descongelado un alimento no podrá ser congeladonuevamente.
Los líquidos aumentan su volumen cuando son congelados.Por eso tome la precaución de no llenar hasta el bordecon sustancias líquidas los recipientes.
No colocar en el congelador recipientes cerrados de vidrio,conteniendo líquidos. La rotura de recipientes de vidriopuede provocar daños graves en el congelador.

Siempre desconecte la clavija del enchufe de su refrigerador,antes de efectuar cualquier tipo de limpieza o verificacióntécnica.
Nunca utilice productos tóxicos (Amoniaco, etc.) o abrasivos(pastas, etc.) ni fibras que dañen el producto.
Utilice una esponja suave o trapo humedecido en aguacon un jabón neutro. Enjuague y seque bien con un trapolimpio y seco.
También puede utilizarse para limpiar el interior, unasolución de una cucharada de bicarbonato de sodio endos litros de agua tibia.
No utilice fibras ni objetos afilados o puntiagudos quepuedan rayar el refrigerador, las parrillas o los anaquelesinteriores.
Para limpiar el condensador (en los modelos que lo tengan)utilice un cepillo, trapo o esponja para eliminar el polvoacumulado.
Procure limpiar y lavar su refrigerador por lo menos cadaseis meses.

Para una eventual limpieza del congelador:
• Desconecte la clavija del tomacorriente.
• Después de la limpieza, coloque nuevamente el piso delcongelador para garantizar un buen funcionamiento desu refrigerador.
El piso removible sólo aplica en algunos modelos.
Limpieza Practihielo
Para una fácil limpieza de su Practihielo, es recomendabledesensamblarlo de la siguiente manera:
Retire los anaqueles de la puerta, el cajón de hielos y elcassette.
En la puerta del congelador, deslice su Practihielo de formalateral hacia su lado izquierdo hasta topar.
Separe la parte superior del soporte Practihielo tomandolos laterales con ambas manos y jálela hacia usted separán-dolo de la puerta.
Para desensamblar los componentes del cassette se tieneque empujar el perno C hacia fuera para liberarlo del cassette, las perillas saldrán por sí mismas. Repita estospasos con las tres hieleras.
Lave las piezas del Practihielo utilizando sólo una esponjasuave con agua y jabón neutro, y después séquelo. Esimportante no utilizar fibras o productos abrasivos paralavarlo (especialmente las hieleras).

Durante la limpieza la cubierta del Practihielo puedesoltarse, para colocarla de nuevo en su lugar se requiereque las guías inferiores de la cubierta entren en los orificiosde la base del soporte. Después alinie la guía lateral de lacubierta con el lateral del soporte y presione la cubiertacon el soporte hasta que escuche que embonó. No debeintroducir el cassette hasta que la cubierta esté en su lugar.
Para ensamblar, introduzca el perno A en el orificio O, cuidando que el perno B entre en la ranura R.
Empuje la hielera hasta que el perno C quede fijo en sulugar. Coloque la perilla asegurándose que quede biensujeta a la hielera. Repita estos pasos con las tres hieleras.

Tome el Practihielo y llévelo hacia la puerta de su congelador. Introduzca la guía inferior del soporte en el extremo izquierdo de la ranura trasera de la puerta congelador.
Empuje la parte superior del Practihielo hasta que el soporteentre en el fondo de la puerta. Deslice su Practihielo hacia la derecha dejándolo en suposición original. Coloque los anaqueles, el cassette y el cajón de hielos.

Si desea mover el practihielo desplácelo a la derecha y luegohacia abajo. Para regresar a su lugar haga los mismos pasosen sentido inverso.
viajes y ausencias
En ausencias prolongadas desconecte la clavija del enchufe.Deje su refrigerador limpio y vacío, incluyendo las bandejasde los cubitos de hielo.
Deje la puerta entreabierta, colocando algún objeto queimpida su cierre, para facilitar la renovación del aire y evitarla concentración de malos olores.
Para periodos cortos de ausencia, su refrigerador podrápermanecer conectado. Pero recuerde que siempre existela posibilidad de cortes de energía eléctrica mientras ustedno se encuentre.
mudanza
Si se requiere acostar la unidad para su transportación,hágalo únicamente hacia el costado izquierdo (viendo surefrigerador de frente).
Es necesario que antes de desplazar su refrigerador de lugar,meta los tornillos niveladores hasta el fondo.
fallas en el suministro de energía eléctrica
La mayoría de las interrupciones en el suministro de energíaeléctrica son corregidas en pocas horas. La temperaturainterior no se afecta hasta antes de 4 horas. Si la falla eléctricapersiste por más de 6 horas, le sugerimos que introduzca bolsas de hielo en ambos compartimentos para ayudar a laconservación de los alimentos.
Si su modelo cuenta con función de Vacaciones y Turbo, enuna falla eléctrica, éstas se tendrán que volver a ajustar.
No hay ninguna afectación de su refrigerador al restablecerla energía eléctrica.

Algunos ruidos son considerados propios del funcionamientodel refrigerador. A continuación, presentamos una tabladescriptiva de los ruidos característicos del funcionamiento.
crujidos
Los crujidos se escuchan cuando el hielo se rompe. Es el mismoruido que ocurre cuando las charolas de hielo son retiradasdel congelador y expuestas a la temperatura ambiente.
ruido del compresor
Ruido característico de motor. Significa que el compresor estáen funcionamiento.
ruido de expansión de gas
Ruido característico de la expansión del gas en el sistema derefrigeración. Es un ruido semejante al generado cuando sellena un balón de aire.
ruido de deshielo
Ruido característico de agua escurriendo. Ocurre cuando elproducto está haciendo el deshielo.
ruido del sistema de ventilación
Ruido característico de ventilador, que muestra que el sistemaTwist Air / Maxi Frío está en perfecto funcionamiento.
ruido de burbujeo de agua
Ruido característico de burbujeo de agua en el sistema dedeshielo, que impide la entrada de calor a la unidad.

• No toque las paredes interiores del congelador con las manos mojadas.
• Evite que los niños se cuelguen de las puertas y/o jueguen cerca del refrigerador cuando tenga la puerta abierta, ya que pueden lastimarse, golpearse o quedar atrapados.
• Cuando necesite cambiar el foco, desconecte el refrigerador para evitar una descarga electrica. Asegúrese que el foco tenga las mismas características, tamaño y potencia (watts) que el que esta retirando.

Enchufe con defecto. Conecte otro aparato en esa toma paraverificarlo y cambie el enchufe si es necesario.

Remove the bases, packaging and accessories. Remove the adhesive tape residue with a cloth soaked in waterand neutral soap.
Choose the location of the refrigerator. This area shouldbe kept clean and dry to avoid rust.

Allow the following minimum space to ensure adequateair circulation, especially if the appliance is going to befixed to the wall: 2 to 3 cm on each side, 10 cm at theback and 5 to 10 cm on top.
Do not install the refrigerator near heat sources like stoves, radiators, or in direct sunlight, as this will cause it to overwork and be less efficient, there by increasing its consumption of electrical energy.
Do not lean it against a wall. By complying with this, youwill be ensured of the correct positioning of the product,preventing your refrigerator components from directlycoming into contact with walls or furniture, therebyavoiding disagreeable noise.
leveling
Use the two leveling screws to level the refrigerator.Insert and adjust them so that they rest firmly on thefloor.
The front of the refrigerator should rest a little higherthan the rear which should lean slightly backwards,thereby facilitating the automatic closing of the doors and preventing temperature loss.

Before inserting the plug into the AC outlet, clean theinterior of your refrigerator using a cloth or soft spongeand mild soap, or a solution of bicarbonate of soda andwater. Do not use toxic or abrasive products.

minimum requirements of the electrical installation
Characteristics: 127V~60Hz for residential use. Ideally equipped with a main switch and separate balanced circuits, protected by fuses and/or a circuit breaker of 15 to 20 amperes max.
Your refrigerator comes equipped with an AC power cord, apolarized Y-type cable or integrated grounding. Under no circumstances must the grounding be removed to connect an adapter plug or cut and/or replaced bya 2-prong plug.
For your safety when installing the refrigerator, refer to figure A.
If your electrical installation is not equipped with this kind of AC outlet, obtain one, and have it installed by a quali-fied electrician. Any personal accidents and/or material damage caused by the product resulting from failure to do this will be the full responsibility of the client.
Connect your refrigerator to the closest AC outlet.
Use of extension cords; because of potential hazards under certain conditions, we strongly recommend against the use of an extension cord. However, if you still elect to use an extension cord, it is absolutely necessary that it be an UL listed 3-wire grounding type plug and outlet and that the electrical rating of the cord be 15 amperes (minimum) and 120 volts. Do not connect another electrical appliances to the refrigerator AC outlet while the afore mentioned is in use. By doing this you will avoid power surges and the overhea-ting of your refrigerator.
Never connect another electrical appliances into the same plug that you are using for your refrigerator.
To connect and disconnect your refrigerator, grip the plug firmly, and pull straight from the AC outlet. Never pull the electrical cord.
If you live in an area where there are power surges, exercise the following precautions:
• Do not connect your refrigerator to the AC outlet.
• Install an automatic voltage regulator with a minimum force of 1000 Watts.
• Make sure that the regulator can withstand the power surges that occur in your area.
• Ask a qualified electrician to inspect the wall outlet andthe electrical circuit, to ensure that the circuit is properlygrounded.
• To ground the circuit, follow the grounding regulationsand call a qualified electrician.
If the AC power cord is damaged, it must be replaced byan electrician from an Authorized Service Center, in orderto avoid any risk of accident.
heating of areas near to the freezer
Your freezer comes equipped with a device which preventscondensation. The heating of some external zones of yourrefrigerator is normal. This prevents condensation of thedrops of water on the exterior of your refrigerator. However,in conditions where there is high atmospheric temperatureand humidity, a light film of condensation could form. Drythis with a soft cloth.
first connection
• Once your refrigerator is in place, wait 4 to 6 hours beforeconnecting it so that the compressor oil settle.
• Before connecting the refrigerator, turn the refrigeratortemperature control or adjust the temperature level ofthe display to mid-position (between 4 and 6).
• Connect the plug to the wall AC outlet.
• Allow it to operate empty and with the doors closed for4 hours before loading with food.

The air disperser in this system acts as a fan. It distributesthe cold air in the freezer and the cooling tower. It is very important never obstruct or block the air vents.
The cooling tower, which is situated in the fresh foodcompartment, has air outlets which ensure that your food ismaintained at the correct temperature.
On opening the door of your refrigerator, it is normal forthe tempered glass shelves to steam up because of theintroduction of moisture.

Your refrigerator comes equipped with various types ofdrawers, depending on the model.
The cold meats drawer may be situated on any point alongthe width of the shelf; it is recommended to place the shelfwhich supports the drawer on the first level from top tobottom.
The individual vegetable drawer is designed to preserve freshfruits and vegetables. Make use of the drawer division so asnot to mix the fruits and vegetables and to optimize theirplacement (this only applies in certain models).
The luxury models contain 2 drawers to facilitate the separatestorage of fruits and vegetables.
In some models the drawer or drawers have a humidity control.

The vegetable drawer maintains a suitable temperature andhumidity for the storage of foods, thereby preserving theirnatural characteristics.
The correct usage of the humidity control ensures the adequateflow of air into the interior of the drawer.
It is recommended to use the humidity control in the smallercompartments to preserve green vegetables and in the largercompartments to preserve fruit.

Remove all foods and objects placed on them.
Place both hands on the front part of the shelf, asdemonstrated in the picture.
With your fingertips, gently pull the shelf towardsyou.
Once the rear section of the shelf is lifted, pull ittowards you, taking care to grasp it firmly.
To replace the shelve on the desireds upport, makesure that the support is between the shelf edge andthe surface, as shown in the picture, and push it until youfeel the catch of the shelf joint.
To change the position of other shelves, proceed inthe same manner.

Your refrigerator may be equipped with half shelves.These can be used only on the first three levels of yourrefrigerator.
When adjusting or removing the shelves, make sure toremove all food items stored in this area and to hold theshelves with both hands.

To adjust the position of your half shelves, lightly lift the front of the shelf and slide it forward until it rests loosely on the support points; when it is approximately half way to these points, shift the shelf to the side.
The placement of the half shelf is similar: introduce it to approximately the mid-point of the refrigerator, rest it against the side of the refrigerator and push backwards until it rests on its support points.
The shelf is not completely horizontal, it is slightly raised in the center so that when heavy objects are placed on it it levels out - this is completely normal. The maximum recommended load for this shelf is 8 kg (17.6 lb).
removable freezer base
Only certain models come equipped with a removable base.
The freezer base can be removed to facilitate cleaning if liquid spillage occurs.
To remove the base, pull it towards you.
Do not let liquids and objects fall against the interior air vent.
For your refrigerator to run well, ensure that the base is always in its correct position; after cleaning, replace the base by sliding it smoothly into place.

Depending on its model, your refrigerator comes equipped with a double deep door (which is the largest on the market), and some of the following shelves (depending on the model):
slide-out bins
Some models have slide-out bins which allow greater versatility of internal storage and distribution. To move the slide-out bins, gently slide them into the desired position. Remove any foods which may be stored on them to avoid their falling over during the adjustment.

door compartment bins
Your refrigerator may come equipped with a door compartment bin, which gives you the option of conveniently storing foods like butter, cans and small jars; it is not recommended to store cheeses and meats in this area.
To put the rear shelves into place: gently raise the safety catch on the door compartment bin so that the catch can turn easily; make sure to return it to its original position and check that it is secure.
The maximum load recommended is 2 kg. (4 lb.) Do not allow children to hang on the bin as it will break if overloaded.
Before closing the door of your refrigerator, make sure that the removable compartment bin is in its original position and is secured by the safety catch.
ultracapacity bin
A bin with a large storage capacity and great versatility on the inside of the door. Suitable for storing large recipients and 4 liter bottles (one gallon).
bottle and can bin
A bin which provides adequate space for the storage of cans on the front part; the rear part is for storing tall bottles. Additionally, it is designed ergonometrically so that products can be easily reached.
two-depth bin
A bin suitable for storing small containers like drinking yogurt, juice, small tetrapack cartons, nail varnish, etc. It is ideal for storing small jars which can be knocked over on other shelves.

vacation function
This function permits you to save energy when you go on vacation (15 days maximum recommended). If vacationsexceed 15 days, disconnect your refrigerator, clean it andleave the doors open in order for it to ventilate.
The vacation function is activated by depressing the buttonand deactivated by once again depressing the button, or,on opening the refrigerator door, an alarm will go off andthe upper part of the light will become illuminated,advising you that the vacation function has been set. Inaddition to the illuminated indicator, you will see thescreen digit slowing advancing until the function has beendesactivated.
turbo
This function accelerates the cooling down time and consequently speeds up the freezing time. The turbo function is activated by depressing the button and is deactivated by depressing it again or on completion of your chosen cycle according to what your specific requirements are. In addition to the illuminated indicator, you will notice the screen function advancing rapidly for one hour. On completion it will return to its normal condition.
note: You cannot activate both functions at the sametime.
alarm
The alarm goes off when the door of the refrigerator isleft open for more than one minute (causing the refrigerator to be less effi cient and to consume more energy). It isactivated or deactivated by pressing the button. An alarmgives you warning in which case the upper part of thebutton will become illuminated.

This function locks the display so that the programmingcannot be changed by anyone else.To activate or deactivate it, pulse the alarm and vacationbuttons simultaneously for 3 seconds. The letter L (Lock)will appear in the center for a few seconds, restoring thetemperature.

This function is found on both the internal and the externaldisplay.
Pressing this button will make the refrigerator colder. Thetemperature range is from 1 to 9, with 9 being the coldest.

Your fridge has a manual filling water dispenser, thatlet you obtain cold water on the outside and reducethe energy consumption.
Clean this system before first use and repeat every 30 days without resorting to a cleansing agent or anyotheraromatic cleaners. To do so, remove the tank uptoward the front and exerting pressure as indicated inthe figure A. Rinse with clean water, then pull and replace the tank.

Easy Ice
Some models have a device designed to make perfect ice, theEasy Ice. This is located in the freezer door, leaving you morespace inside for you frozen foods.

Push from the central part and through the back of the
dispenser lever with a glass until the water comes out, and
keep it pressed until the liquid reaches the desire level.
Always dispense by holding the glass.
In case of any eventual drop spill, slide the inside dish or drop
collector through the top and retire it through the outside,
throw the water away and place the dish again sliding it
trough the inside and down. (See figure G).

The molds have a water level control. If you overfill themthe water will spill out.
With the knobs facing you, turn the cassette clockwise,the molds will then be in a horizontal position.
Finally, put the cassette back into the Ice Factory. Move iton its rails as far as it will go. And wait for the ice tobemade. Be sure to dry excess water from the bottom of thecassette before putting it in your freezer.
Unmolding
Turn or twist each knob in the clockwise direction untilthe ice cubes fall into the drawer below. The drawer canonly store the ice from the three molds.Make sure the ice drawer is empty before unmolding thenext batch of ice.Clean the surface under the drawer at least once a week.
caring for your refrigerator
We recommend storing food in containers with lids,wrapped in or stored in airtight materials such as aluminumfoil, plastic containers or plastic wrap.
Do not store hot foods in the fresh food compartment orfreezer. You should wait until they have cooled down toroom temperature.
Only open the doors for the necessary time to store orremove food items or drinks. By doing this you will reduceenergy consumption and improve the performance ofyour refrigerator.
It may be difficult to open the door again after havingopened and closed it to introduce or remove foods. Thisis normal due to the vacuum that forms in the interior ofthe refrigerator caused by the exchange of air at differenttemperatures. If this happens, wait 10 to 15 seconds beforetrying again and the doors should open easily.
Always store onions in a plastic bag or a hermetically-sealed container to prevent their odor from penetratingother foods.
Do not store garlic inside your refrigerator as a cold, darkenvironment promotes its germination.

Store foods in small quantities in the freezer as this facilitatesquicker and more effective freezing. We recommend placingfood that you would like to freeze rapidly or ice cubes on thefreezer shelf.
Always take note of the manufacturer’s expiry date on frozenproducts. Once food has been defrosted, it cannot be refrozen.
Liquids increase in volume when frozen. For this reason, donot fill recipients up to the brim with liquids.
Do not store closed glass recipients containing liquids in the freezer. The breakage of glass recipients could badly damagethe freezer.
cleaning your refrigerator
Always disconnect the refrigerator plug from the outletbefore cleaning or before starting a technical revision.
Never use toxic products (like ammonia, etc), abrasive products (pastes) or fibers as they can damage the refrigerator.Do not use fibers or sharp or pointed objects which canscratch your refrigerator or the interior shelves.
Use a soft sponge or a cloth which has been soaked in waterand a mild soap. Rinse and dry well with a clean, dry cloth.You can also use a solution of one spoon of bicarbonate ofsoda and two liters of warm water to clean the interior.
To clean the condenser (on the models which have them),use a brush, cloth or sponge to eliminate accumulated dust.Do this at least every six months.

• Disconnect the plug from the wall.
• Remove the freezer base, pulling it towards you.
• During the cleaning, do not let accumulated liquid filter into the interior of the refrigerator as this could damage the unit. Dry well.
• After cleaning, replace the freezer base to ensure the optimum running of your refrigerator.

For the easy cleaning of your Easy Ice, we recommend you disassemble it as follows:
Remove the shelves from the door, the ice drawer and the cassette.
In the freezer door, slide de Easy Ice sideways to the left as far as possible.
Remove the upper part of the Easy Ice from its mount, holding the sides in both hands and pulling it towards you away from the door.
To disassemble the cassette’s components you most push the pin C outwards to free it from the cassette. The knobs will come off on their own. Repeat these steps with the three ice molds.
Wash the parts of the Easy Ice using just a soft sponge with water and a mild soap. After that, dry it. It is Impor-tant NOT TO USE scouring packs or abrasive products to wash it, especially the ice molds.
to assemble
The cover of the Easy Ice may become detached during cleaning. To put it back, the lower guides of the cover must enter the holes in the base of the mount, then you should line up the lateral guide of the cover with the slide of the mount and press the cover onto the mount until you can hear it has fitted on. The cassette should not be inserted until the cover is in place.
To assemble the cassette put pin A into hole O making sure pin B enters slot R. Push the ice mold until pin C is fixed in position. Put on the knob making sure it is firmly fixed to ice mold. Repeat these steps whit the three ice molds.
Take the Easy Ice to the door of your freezer. Put the lower guide of the mount into the extreme left side of the rear slot of the freezer door.
Push the upper part of the Easy Ice until the mount enters into the back of the door.
Slide the Easy Ice to the right, leaving it in its original position.
Put the shelves, the cassette and the ice drawer back in place.

trips and absences
On prolonged absences, disconnect the plug from the wall outlet. Leave your refrigerator empty and clean. Thisincludes the ice trays.
Leave the door ajar, placing an object behind it to prevent it from closing. This facilitates air circulation and stops bad odors from forming.
For short periods of absence, your refrigerator can stay connected. But be aware that there is always the possibility of power cuts while you are away.
moving
If you need to place the refrigerator in a horizontal position in order to transport it, place it only on its left side (when viewing your refrigerator from the front).
Before changing your refrigerator’s location, screw the leveling screws in as far as they will go.
problems with the electrical supply
The majority of power cuts are corrected in a few hours. The interior temperature of your refrigerator will not be affected for 4 hours. If the electrical failure persists for more than 6 hours we suggest you to introduce ice bags in both compartments to help to preserve foods.
If your model is equipped with the function Vacations and Turbo, in the case of a power cut these will return to their state of non activation (functions indicator will be switched off). Your refrigerator will not be affected in any way on the resumption of power.

Some sounds are normal when your refrigerator is operating. Following is a table describing the differentsounds that are characteristic of its functioning:
crunching
Crunching is heard when ice breaks. This is the same noise that is heard when ice trays are removed from the freezer and exposed to room temperature.

This is a normal sound caused by the running of the motor. It means the compressor is functioning.
gas expansion
Characteristic of the expansion of gas in the refrigeration system. It is similar to the noise heard when filling a gas cylinder.
defrosting
This sounds like running water. This occurs when the refrigerator is going through the defrosting process.
bubbling water
This occurs in the defrosting cycle and stops heat from entering the unit.

Do not allow children to hang from the doors and/or play near the Refrigerator when the door is open as theycould get injured or trapped inside.

1) For this warranty to be effective, the consumer must apply to any of our SERVIPLUS Service Centers by calling the telephone numbers indicated in the directory which constitute part of this warranty and where parts, spare parts, consumables and accessories can be obtained.
2) Mabe S.A. de C.V. undertakes to repair or replace any part of the product found to be defective, at the home of the client and at no charge to the customer for labor, spare parts or transportation of the product. The SERVIPLUS technicians are trained and have the necessary tools for carrying out the repairs at home, ensuring the correct functioning of the product. MABE guaranteesthe availability of spare parts and supplies on the market for ten years (only applies to Colombia),
3) When our technician from SERVIPLUS arrives to examine the product, the product together with the warranty policy duly stamped by the sales outlet from where it was bought, or an invoice, sales receiptor other proof of purchase should be presented.
4) The repair time shall not exceed 30 days, starting from the receipt of the telephone call at our SERVIPLUS Service Centers.
6) The warranty will not be valid in the following cases:
• If the duly signed warranty, an invoice, sales receipt or any other document that proves the date of purchase of the product is not presented.
• If the warranty has expired and is not within the warranty period authorized by the manufacturer.• If the product has been used for commercial purposes, professional services or any other use that is
not wholly domestic.• If the product has been used outside of normal conditions.• If the product has not been operated in accordance with its English instruction manual.• If the product has been modified or repaired by unauthorized technicians or service centers.• Damages to the paint work and parts constituting its appearance when the product has been
exposed to the outdoors.• Breakage of parts due to mishandling.• Damages due to power surges caused by short circuits, accidental overloading of the power cord or
overloading because of electrical discharge.• Damages caused by the use of parts that are not original.• Damage to the product during its transportation, when said transportation is undertaken by the
client.
5) The light bulb is not part of the warranty.
