WE PRAY
Our response to the Hebrew Scriptures is Psalm 100: “We are God’s People, the Flock of the Lord.” We sing that we are all of God forever. Our “Alleluia” reminds us that the Word has been among us since the dawn of Creation: “Before the sun burned bright or rivers flowed, I called you each by name to share my home. No longer be afraid; I am your God. My love will never end, Alleluia.” The Eternal Word is enfleshed in Jesus...and in us! We come to the Lord’s Table and we echo St. Paul’s acclamation of faith: “When we eat this Bread and drink this Cup we proclaim your death, O Lord, until you come again.” Our Eucharist moves us to embrace the Cross of our world...in union with Christ...to be transformed into Sacred Love, for our people today.

Immaculate Conception Prayer
All praise to you Creating God for the gift of your Word who resounds deep within us all. At the very be-
ginning, you spoke and chaos gave birth to all that lives and breathes. In the fullness of time, your Word
became flesh in the womb of Mary, the image of your church. Your Word called the first disciples of Jesus
to holiness of heart, unity in service, and selflessness in love. We thank you for all the women and men,
enthused with faith, who built a home for us in Hoosick Falls. And now, we ask you for Holy Wisdom as
we seek to rebuild our community on the foundation of Christ. With Mary, and all the Saints, we are a
sacrament of hope. May we be so for ages to come. Amen.
THE CHURCH’S ONE FOUNDATION JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD
On, October 3rd, representatives of our parish met with Roslyn Webber, the Construction Project Coor-

immersed in our parish plans and priorities for our church. Please remember the chimney, roof,
gutters, and side walk drainage need work immediately. People are already emerging to assist in plans,
finances, and community involvement. If you can help...and we need you!...please see Fr. Tom Zelker
as soon as possible.
HOLY DOORS Our Church is open 24 hours a day for prayer, meditation, adoration, and walking. When we enter the Holy Doors of our church, we remember our own holiness as we come into this sacred space. When we leave we become an even more loving, merciful, and beautiful blessing for our world.

Dear Friends of SMA,
Thank you to all who supported our Cow Plop and Car Show this past Sunday. Once again it was a very successful event. Many thanks to Katie Shafer who was our Chairperson this year, she did a remarkable job. Our Cow Plop winner was Dave Kwasniak of Hoosick Falls, whose grandson, Carson Luke, attends SMA. Our judges for the Cow Plop were Mr. Piatek, our Principal, and Sophie Hayes, Grade 3 SMA, who sold the most deeds to win this illustrious role!

We would like to thank everyone who made the BEAUTIFUL baskets for
basket bingo. Again, we had so many baskets that a few of them had to
be used as door prizes.
This event would not be such a success, and an evening of fun, if it
were not for the basket makers, the people who gave up their evening
to volunteer to work at the event, Bob and his GREAT kitchen crew, and
Ben who always does such a great job as our bingo caller. Also, a HUGE
thanks to ALL the businesses who donated money and gift cards. And
to anyone we may have forgotten. After all expenses we made
$5,600.00. THANK YOU!
Ellen and Karen
