Check out NFBs most recent project The Journal ofInsomnia a two-phase project of ambitious scope

For the first phase of the project people with insomnia areinvited to respond to an interactive online survey They canshare their experience via text or webcam All content willserve as part of the experience site which is the secondphase of the project As we have come to expect from NFBthe user experience is impressive

The second phase of the project offers a portrait of peoplewith chronic insomnia Visitors to the site - both those whohave insomnia and those who dont - will see a series ofprofiles of people with insomnia

The Journal of Insomnia is a unique artistic andcollaborative project bringing together the stories andexperiences gathered in Phase 1 The result will bepowerful and intimate - highlighting the experience ofinsomnia rather than its clinical treatment

musician who moves from Iowa to Los Angeles and starts arock band The 10-episode series will air every Monday onthe Red Bull Music YouTube channel

Exit Vine will also be interactive in that users will have theability to vote on certain plot elements For example the firstepisode prompts viewers to select the bands name basedon three choices To cast their votes viewers have to simplyleave a comment under the episode on YouTube

It will be interesting to see how the interactive componentsof the story are woven into the actual production of theseries

Days to Live - Interactive Film

Days to Live is an innovative branded content projectcreated by Pulse Films and Storythings It aims to challengeour relationship with time and to encourage us to live lifemore bravely

Utilizing a Facebook Connect web app users complete aninteractive online questionnaire that lets users play withtime moving forwards and backwards through the film asthey answer questions about their lives habits and secretsThe film uses an HTML5 technique based on animated gifs- the film sequences can be scrubbed and played with bymoving around the film with the cursor At the end of thequestionnaire you are given a calculation of your Days ToLive

Users can then download a Diesel Timeframes alarm clockApp that will wake each user up with a reminder of thenumber of days they have left to live and also presents aninspirational message

The Trip - Transmedia Project

The Trip is the brainchild of the Kissinger Twins and UNIT9It tells the story of Jack Torrance a laid back 80-year-oldwith an unforgettable voice and wicked sense of humor

The project consists of an interactive film a short cinemafilm a photography series and a concept album by Smolik

The transmedia approach of the project tells JackTorrances story in different ways with each of the individualexecutions designed especially for the media in use

Built in HTML5 the interactive film is a road movieconsisting of 11 chapters Users choose their own paceunveiling Jacks story via tapping or moving the cursor oftheir mouse The story stays the same but scenery alwayschanges

Welcome to Banshee - Transmedia Extension

For Cinemaxs upcoming original series Banshee thechannel has launched WelcomeToBansheecom whichfeatures a transmedia element tied to the TV series Show-runner Greg Yaitanes (House) created a different titlesequence for each episode of Banshee Each titlesequence features clues to characters back-stories

Viewers can take these clues and input them on The Vaultsection on the website in order to unlock additional contentThe show is set in a small town in Pennsylvania Amishcountry and follows an ex-con who has assumed theidentity of a recently murdered sheriff

Check out The Book of Sarth a unique graphic novel andalbum mash-up The iOS app is a rethinking of what albumartwork can be in the digital age - and introduces a platformfor a new kind of narrative storytelling

It tells the tale of a strange artifact thats discovered by a pairof children The artifact produces sounds that induce aheightened state of consciousness and when the audio isuploaded to the internet all hell breaks loose

The experience is set against 30 minutes of original musicwritten and performed by Sarth Calhoun (the tracks can betransferred out of the app to be listened to separately)
