PROS AND CONS
Pros:
- Automated process which saves processing time and reduces risk of error when
applying IMOS settings.
- Reduced chance of processing using incorrect configuration files
- Multiple applications can be applied to a standardised method.
- Multiple users using same standardised method
Cons:
- More intensive process to change settings.
- Uses java routines to run SBE processing software.
- Some work required to initiate use such as setting up xmlcon file and sensor databases
and metadata source file.
NEXT STEPS
• Further improvements and updates.
• Possible adoption by other IMOS CTD processing groups
as a pre-processing tool.
