Information Technology At RAJAGIRI PUBLICSCHOOL

Information technology plays a key role in the education sector. Every educator

has started giving the instructions using the computers. It all started by the mid

1990s many schools and colleges have began to take remote classes using

information technology. Information technology has enabled institutions to cutcosts by eliminating the need for physical infrastructure and reducing the need

for faculty e.g. Praveen Sharma Satellite Classes New Delhi.

The popularity of distance learning demonstrates that the increasingly important

role of information technology has resulted in widening of educational access,

giving people chance to study for a qualification or a new career in their spare

time. People who might never have gone to college to study can now sign up

and access all the course materials online, sometimes accompanied by lecturesor videos.

Society is the recipient of the final product i.e. we the students, we should be

prepared to face the challenges of a society and job market focused on

technology.

IT has dramatically improved communication within the school system,

communities and families of the students. Schools and colleges that utilize the

internet based systems for student grades, attendance and homework haveinformation available immediately for parents.

Technology used classrooms enhances lessons and instructions, now the

students want more of powerpoint presentations than the thick books.

IT used at IIM,Udaipur

The institute has provided 1 Gbps internet link in the campus A backup link of 5 Mbps is also kept to minimize the downtime and

internet blackouts.

Highly efficient UTM box is there for security concerns The hostels and college campus are connected with high speed (250

Mbps).

An IBM server has been placed at the IT datacentre used to providedomain level security as well as data storage to the students with 8 TB of

raw capacity.

Google apps is being used for mailing/ Messaging and calendaring. A YouTube channel with the name iimudaipur has been created to

provide students and faculty with do it yourself videos.

.The unique feature of the institute is the management of the ITinfrastructure that is being done by a committee of students under the

name of ConnectIT.
