    Before talking about paradigms in bioethics it is necessary to bring into question the fact that,

    ultimately the new medical technologies have pointed out that there is a need for reflection on

    the ethical, legal and social implications of their implementation in the medical sphere. The

    bioethical disputes arising on new scientific discoveries have been focused primarily on practice

    and how the individual's life is seen as an end and not a means; the Kantian categorical

    imperative !" is the universal and ob#ective e$pression of our rational nature, whereas the moral

    deliberation is based on practical reason or inner good will, the structure of the Kantian moral

    philosophy is centered upon concepts such as duty, freedom and autonomy.

    %n this work we aimed to achieve an overview of bioethical paradigms and analy&e which are the

    most important aspects thereof and of course how they can be applied in bioethics.
