Dear children,

We are sure that all of you must be enjoying your holidays. You must have

started making plans to visit your grandparents, relatives and friends,

watching television during the day, taking a dip in the swimming pool and

joining some classes with your friends.

We wish that you enjoy every minute of this long break with your family and

friends. It will be great if you are able to find time to visit museums and

monuments, learn new things, explore new areas near your house, play indoor

and outdoor games , read as many story books as you can ,help your parents

and grandparents, go for morning walk and play in the park in the evenings

during your long summer break.

We are giving you a variety of fun-filled activities and worksheets which you

can do during the noon time. Do them neatly and submit the worksheets to

your teachers after the vacation.

MATHS

Draw and colour your family tree (from grandparents to you) on an A – 4

size sheet. Stick photos of each member. Write the age of each member

and perform the following operations and mention your answer on the

back of the sheet.

a) Add the age of all the members.

b) Subtract the age of the youngest member from the age of the

oldest member of the family.

c) Multiply your age with your father’s age.

Make a chart (Indian System) on periods, place, place value and face

value. (By showing different examples).

ENGLISH

1. Design your own scrap book using paper and eco-friendly material. Be creative and

use your imagination to design a beautiful cover too. Write your name and paste

your own picture on the cover.

2. Collect some information about two authors- Rudyard Kipling and R.K Narayan

and write a short biography of these authors in your scrap book.

3. Read one book written by each of these authors.

Suggested titles:

1. Swami Aur uske dost- R.K Narayan

2. The English- R.K Narayan

3. The Jungle Book- Rudyard Kipling

4. Captain Courageous- Rudyard Kipling

4. Write a book report of the books in your scrap book.

The guideline for writing the report is given below.

5. Write your experience about how you have spent the first week of vacation.

6. Visit a temple or a Gurudwara and write your experience about the same

describing all the details.

7. Take up a new hobby this vacation; Write your experience; what challenges did

you face while pursuing your hobby?

Note: All writing work to be done on A4 size pastel sheets using your creativity.

SCIENCE

1. Make a colourful poster on any one topic of your choice :

i) SAVE WILD ANIMALS

ii) CLEAN SURROUNDING

iii) SAVE WATER

2. Paste the pictures of the following :

i) Animals that live in water.

ii) Animals that carry loads

iii) Animals that gives us milk

3. Collect some leaves and paste them in such a way as to make a beautiful design.

4. Write the summary of chapter – 1 and 2 and learn them.

5. Read chapter – 3 and try to do bookwork.

6. Draw the diagram of teeth and label its parts on prop sticks.

7. Draw a chart of the following topics according to your Roll Numbers:

i) Roll no. – 1 to 3 draw respiratory system

ii) Roll no. – 4 to 6 draw excretory system

iii) Roll no. – 7 to 10 draw circulatory system

NOTE: Do the above homework on white sheet or make a separate thin notebook.

ACTIVITY TWO:

Prepare a miniature dress of Banjaras using colourful sheets, mirrors and other

decorative items. Paste it in the same scrapbook.

ACTIVITY 3:

Draw a picture of camel in the scrapbook and colour it.

Give reasons to support the statement- camels are called the ship of the desert.
