ORDER

Sub Implementation of the New Defined Contributory Pension Scheme in Govt.Aided Schools of Directorate of Education.

In pursuance to the directions of the Hon'ble High Court of Delhi the

Department of Education with the prior approval of Finance Department, Govt. ofNCT of Delhi has decided to implement the New Defined Contributory PensionSchemes for new entrance to the service of the aided schools appointed on or after01.01.2004.

The following operational guidelines would be followed by the DOGs, PADs

and the Managements of the Aided Schools.

1. The OOOs of the Districts would obtain the application form for issue of PPAN

Numbers in respect of the employees recruited between 01.01.2004 to31.03.2009 and for issue of PRAN Numbers in 'respect of those recruited on orafter 01.04.2009.

2. The application forms completed in all respects may be sent to PAO.concernedfor their verification and their onward transrnission to the authorised office ofNational Securities Depository limited {NSGLi in Delhi for issue of PRANNumbers.

3. The concerned PAOs would arrange the registration of DDOs of each district withthe NSDL for issue of PRAN numbers and uploading the monthly details of thesubscribers including the remittance of funds.

4. The employees recruited on or after 01.01.2004 and covered under the NewPension Scheme shall contribute monthly @ 10% of their Basic Pay and Dearness

Allowances. The Government and Management snail also pay matching amountaccordtnglv.

5. The 95% share of employer's contribution w61id be borne by the departmentand remaining 5% share of government contribution shall be deposited by theconcerned management in advance on io" of everv month to which it relates,

6. The effective date of operationalisation of New Pension Scheme shall be from01.01.2004. The monthly contribution shall be recovered from all the employeesappointed under the Aided Schools on or after 01.01.2004 w.e.!. month of

implementation of the scheme. In respect of the contributions payable by theseemployees from the following month of their initial appointment to the month ofimplementation of the scheme the same shall be recovered in monthlyinstalment equal to the 01 month contributions.

7. DDOs would submit separate bills of the employees covered under the NewPension Scheme to PAObefore zo" of every month.

a. The instructions, guidelines issued by the Central Government, The Pension FundRegulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA) and National SecuritiesDepository Limited (NSDL) for the management of New Pension Schemeincluding the withdrawal guidelines would be followed in respect of the

employees of the Aided Schools covered under the New penSiO~
