This three-day, hands-on course gives you an introduction to the capabilities of the
MIKE 11 modelling system. The aim is to enable you to set up and run basic river
models with MIKE 11 and to analyse and present the simulation results.
MIKE 11 is one of the most commonly applied 1D river modelling packages
throughout the world and as such has become a de facto standard for 1D models.
MIKE 11 is a highly efficient modelling tool for the detailed design, management
and operation of both simple and complex river and channel systems.
MIKE 11 covers a wide range of application areas such as flooding, flood
forecasting and flood management, water quality, dam break analysis, structure
operations, salinity intrusion and sediment transport in rivers, canals, wetlands and
other water bodies. The wide range of add-on modules allows you to build your own
personal river modelling tool box.

Working with river model input data in MIKE 11 Graphical User Interface

TARGET GROUP AND PREREQUISITES
Professionals who are interested in obtaining a general understanding of the MIKE
11 modelling system and its capabilities in order to set up and run simple river
models. This course or corresponding knowledge is required in order to
participate in the courses 'MIKE 11 - Advanced hydrodynamic modelling', 'MIKE
FLOOD - River flood modelling', 'MIKE FLOOD - Integrated pipes, channels and
surface modelling'.
DATE AND TIME
Monday to Wednesday, 25 - 27 August 2014.
Course starts at 09:30 and ends at 17:30.

Apruban Mukherjee
Apruban is working as a Water Resources
Engineer at DHI for over 7 years. He has
extensive experience in areas such as
rainfall-runoff, hydrodynamic studies and
flood modeling using software such as
MIKE 11, MIKE 21C and MIKE FLOOD.
Apruban has worked on several critical
consulting projects in India and has
conducted several advanced training
programs relating to MIKE software relating to Water Resources.
