Parish Bulletin is available from door of Chapel House. In addition please consider uplifting a copy of the Children’s Worksheet… Please bring your own disposable gloves or ring Bell with elbow for parish gloves. This would be when you are already out for your “local daily exercise.”

Finance This weekend the Second Collection would have been for Sick & Retired Clergy. Last weekend we received £80 (£10 of which was Gift Aided).Well done those who are willing and able to keep Holy Cross afloat financially! Next weekend (Easter) there is no Second Collection but the Easter Quarterly is now due. When you are out for your daily fitness routine you could hand in to, or put through letter box of, the Chapel House an envelope with “Parish Collection” on it or “Sick & Retired Clergy” on it then it will be so distributed. At this time of crisis, the parish particularly appreciates those who support this parish financially through Standing Order etc. Income is lower than normal for you in your household and also here as a Parish.

Good Friday: The Vatican has asked that the Collection for Holy Places in & around Jerusalem be postponed to a later date.

SCIAF “Collection” raised £400 (partly including SCIAF Boxes). Please drop off any other SCIAF Boxes by Maundy Thursday (8th April). Well done!

St Anthony’s Box raised £100. The amount is being distributed to various situations of financial need. Well done those who “fill it” so regularly. The Church Building is closed off at present.

Easter Eggs for our f ine Altar Servers. If you have not already received one, you may uplift at door of Chapel House. When you are out for your dai ly fitness routine, please ring the door- bell with your elbow to ask. Otherwise Fr Joe will have to eat them..! If possible bring your own disposable gloves.

Walk of Witness on Good Friday b y C h u r c h e s T o g e t h e r i n Cumbernauld is cancelled. All Christians still spiritually gather round the Holy Cross of Christ.

Washing of Feet Given that this is not possible on Holy Thursday, Fr Joe suggests that parishioners consider “washing the feet” of those in the household… If you live on your own perhaps wash the feet of yourself but thinking of, for example those who look after the Sick & Housebound (NHS Staff, Care Home workers, Carers-in-the-community) or indeed Shop Assistants (now a dangerous occupation). Alternatively you could wash your own feet or indeed hands thinking of one who hates you or with whom you do not get on well; Jesus washed Judas’ feet, after all [cf. Jn 13: 14]. Only you in your own situation know how feasible any of this is. An adolescent washing the feet of his/her wee brother/sister (or vice versa) may be quite prophetic. St Ambrose called this a “sacramentum.”

Live Mass normally at 10am each morning (this week: Sunday- Wednesday) on Parish Facebook Page. It’s also possible to access it via the Parish’s Website WITHOUT joining Facebook. That is go to www.holycrosscroy.com and click on Facebook there. Well done those who are making this possible!

“Streamed” at the Cathedral with Archbishop Tartaglia: Palm Sunday at 12noon; Holy Thursday at 6pm; Good Friday at 3pm and Easter Vigil at 8.30pm. Visit www.cathedralg1.org

Palms were blessed last Sunday. When you are out for your daily fitness routine, uplift at door of Chapel House. Please bring own disposable gloves or ring door-Bell with elbow, for parish gloves.
