INDIANA SKI COUNCIL - Schuss Mountain Michigan Ski & Race Weekend February 9-11, 2018 This season our annual ISC weekend will be at Schuss Mountain near Mancelona, Michigan. Your ski club will be defending their honor against other Indiana ski clubs in this low key racing environment. Come and participate in racing or cheer on your club’s racers. Accommodations are at Schuss Mountains Cedar River Village deluxe suites, which include 1 bedroom with 2 queen beds and a fold out couch in the family room with fireplace. Ski in and out with a chair lift that will allow you to have access to front face. Shuttles run frequently between Shanty Creek and Schuss Village along with Bellaire and Shorts Micro Brewery. ISC offers Racing Med-als and Plaques for racers. This weekend will include Friday and Saturday night lodging, weekend Super ticket including lift ticket and Nordic pass, 2 breakfasts and Saturday Night Banquet Dinner. Lift tickets are good for all day Friday, Saturday & Sunday. A room will be announced for late check out. Weekend Package Rates: • Includes Bus • 3 adults per room = $435 per person or 70 and above $377 • Children 0 to 5 years free, 6 to 8 years = $169, 9 to 12 = $227 and 13 to 17 = $254 with adult in room. INDIANA SKI COUNCIL - Schuss Mountain Michigan Tentative Itinerary:

Friday – Check in at the Main Lodge after 5 PM. Some skiers arrive early so they can enjoy skiing all day by picking up their packet in advance on Friday prior to moving into your room.

Saturday- Breakfast – Racers please sign in at Race Table before 9 AM to confirm your age, ISC category and NASTAR Number and sign a release form. Our exclusive club race takes place at 10 AM on the Good Knight NASTAR hill. You can pick-up your NASTAR medals at the finish line and your time will be recorded within the NASTAR system. The 5PM BYO (no glass) ISC Ski Après will be in the outdoor heated pool and hot tubs at Cedar River Village where we are lodging. The Awards Banquet Dinner will be held at 7 PM in the Cedar River Village Banquet Room.

Racing Categories: (you will be broken up into ability, age and gender brackets)

A Class Expert ski racer best of 2 runs on both courses

B Class Advance ski racer best of 2 runs on both courses

C Class Intermediate ski racer best of 2 runs on both courses

D Class First time ski racer best of 2 runs on both courses

A Dual NASTAR Giant Slalom style course will be set. Your accumulated combined fastest time per course will determine your posi-tion within class. The points accumulated from this racing will be tallied per club and determine the ISC Championship.

Sunday – Breakfast, return to the slopes for a fun day of skiing with your friends and family. Those still in the mood for NASTAR can show up at 10AM and race before public starts at Noon. Normal checkout is Noon and later check out maybe possible, but will not be known until we check in an alternate room will also be arranged for changing.
