Gerald L. Jochim, 66, of Mandan, passed
away November 3, 2019 at Vibra Hospital of Central Dakotas, Mandan, after he lost his courageous battle to Hamman-Rich Syndrome that resulted from a simple cut on his hand.
Jerry was born January 30, 1953 to Joe and Viola (Erdman) Jochim in Mandan.
Jerry married the love of his life, Joann (Grendahl) on May 19, 1978. He was very proud of his two
daughters, Miranda and Nicole. He was later blessed with a grandson, Alden Davis, who quickly became his perfect side kick.
Jerry retired from RDO Equipment in 2018. He enjoyed the outdoors and hunting with his brothers and family. He also enjoyed being outside and maintaining his beautiful yard.
Jerry will be deeply missed by his wife, Joann; daughters, Miranda and Nicole; grandson, Alden; brothers, Tom (Carleen) and their children, Bob (Carol) and their children, and Dwight and his son; stepbrother, Darrell Hanson; stepsister, Sandra (Terry) Erickson and her son; numerous nieces and nephews; 3 sisters-in-law, Sharon (Doug) Lipetzky and their children, Nancy (Dave) Goetz and their children,
and Judy Sterna and her children; brother-in-law, Gerald Grendahl and his son; and special friends Ron and Terri, Hannah, Randy, and Judy.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; stepmother, Anna Jochim; and mother-in-law, Gertrude Grendahl.
