ensures GFDA is able to alert members in a timely manner.
ATTENTION - The Georgia Secretary of State Professional Licensing portal for License
Renewals is now open!
Important dates to remember are as follows:
- On Time License renewal through March 31, 2018
- Late Renewal dates are April 1 - April 30, 2018
- As of May 1, 2018 any licenses not renewed will be lapsed and must go through the reinstatement
process.
License renewal deadlines apply to Embalmer, Director, Apprentice, and Establishment

Seeking Licensed Funeral Director/Embalmer, or an Apprentice
Well established, family owned and operated funeral home and crematory in Decatur is seeking a
licensed funeral director/embalmer to join our family. Candidates should have a professional
appearance and demeanor, be self-motivated, have good communication skills and be able to work
independently as well as be a part of a team. Shifts will include some week-ends, overnights and some
holidays. We offer a competitive salary based on experience, excellent medical/dental/vision benefits
package, clothing allowance, 401K with employer match, and generous vacation/sick hours.
We are also interested in hiring an Apprentice Funeral Director/Embalmer. The main requirements are
being a graduate from an accredited Mortuary College, and already passed all National Board Exams.
