INTRODUCTION

The smart packaging concept In Ze bag ® has been specially developed for the vending industry. The concept allows the nutrition industry like coffee merchants and roasters, vending operators and vending manufacturers to develop new applications for the OCS and free standing vending market. Our concept makes it possible to distribute hot drinks by vending machines by allowing the distribution of bulk products with the same accuracy as individual pods.

OPERATIONOF THE CONCEPT:THE RELATION

OF THE IN ZE BAG MODULE

AND THE VENDING MACHINE

The In Ze Bag ® distribution module is autonomous. The module hosts 2 ingredient bags (identical or different products) and is equipped with dosing systems and gear motors.

The In Ze Bag ® distribution module is equipped with a RFID antenna who communicates with the RFID tag of the ingredient bag. This communication enables for e.g. to authenticate the bag, to deduct the dosages or to establish the dosages.

The In Ze Bag ® module is built in the “host” vending machine on a “plug & play” principle: the module only needs a 24 V electric supply and a RJ45 jacket for the communication. An interface makes the communication possible between the In Ze Bag module and the “host” vending machine.

The operation is easy: the “host” vending machine send a request to the In Ze Bag ® module who delivers the ingredients. Ones the ingredients delivered, the “host” vending takes over and prepare the drinks.

The In Ze Bag ® module communicates at random with the “host” vending machine: receipts, conformity of the product and availability of the ingredients.The different dosing systems that we’ve developed, allows the distribution of all kind of ingredients: grounded coffee of different grindings, beans, flakes, shavings, vermicelli...).
