Course: This year long course is designed with an integrated approach to reading, writing, speaking, listening, and higher level thinking skills.
In this course we will explore the concept of coming of age through the literary traditions and geographical movement of cultures and civilizations around the world.
Year end product will be a student driven documentary film festival based on social justice
Honors Course
Practicing and developing critical thinking skills for success in advanced courses throughout high school.
Not necessarily the same curriculum as 9th with “extra” or “more” work
Homework: Varies but students can expect 30-90 minutes depending on unit/semester
There will be a summer assignment for Social
Studies and Language Arts due the first day of school.
