• Great gas distribution possible in the northern hemisphere.

• Nice overlap / bordering of the wood industry with the grid

Demonstrated on 20 MWSNG scale → 200 MWSNG scale

• Production costs estimated at 600 SEK/MWh~60€/MWh

• The gasifier ran ~12.000 hoursand several 1000 hours of gas tothe grid

• At 8000 hours of operation~500kton per year is needed

• Approx. 60.000 Nm3/h SNG couldbe produced

systems built

➢ SunGas Renewables owns technology to produce syngas from biomass and waste feedstocks.

➢ Over the past 40 years, hundreds of millions of dollars have been applied to develop and perfect this technology.

➢ The process has been proven in thousands of hours of testing and more than a decade of commercial operations.

• Green Gas allows you to operate utilities in industry, households and in transport without modifications for end users.

• Green Gas has a good carbon footprint, with the proper selection of feedstocks

• Green Gas will produce a large stream of high quality CO2 in order toreach product specifications, allowing you to off-set carbon balances via sequestration

• Green Gas can be linked to the massive gas infrastructure, which lowersthe burden in shipping of feedstock/transport of end-product.

• Green Gas is a stepping stone to other high value outlets if theinfrastructural needs change over time. (fuels, hydrogen, chemistry)

Why is Green Gas a good idea?

Page 12: Increasing the green gas resource with gasification

www.ieabioenergy.com12

• Gasification is a technology mature enough to be implemented on large scale

• The resource base for gasification is large

• Grid connectivity is high

• The benefit of realizing negative emissions, via sequestrationpossibilities will become increasingly important.

Deployment of the technology is behind…. We need industry to start investing and governments to support this!
