NOTICE INVITING TENDER - TMD INST- 055

Sealed tenders (single part) are invited in duplicate (1 Original + 1 copies) from experienced and reputed contractor meeting the PQC criteria as detailed below for execution of following work:

Earnest Money Deposit (Rs.) 120/- (One hundred twenty only) Payable in form of demand draft drawn in favour of “URANIUM CORPORATION OF INDIA LIMITED” payable at State Bank of India Limited, Jaduguda Branch, Code No.: 0227

Nature of Tender Single Part- Two stage

Work Completion period 1 month from placing of work order

Pre-qualification criteria:

1. The bidder should be a registered Insurance company under IRDAI.

2. The bidder should be a Public Sector/Nationalized Insurance Company

Tender documents can be obtained from the Office of Addl. Manager (Administration), UCIL, Turamdih on all working days except Sundays and holidays. Tender documents can also be downloaded from UCIL Website www.uraniumcorp.in. Sealed tender shall be submitted in the office of Addl. Manager (Pers.), UCIL Turamdih within the date schedule mentioned above.

The tenders in duplicate (1 Original + 1 copy) are to be submitted in single part i.e. Part-I, eligibility documents meeting the PQC including tender cost and EMD, signed copy of tender document and PART-II, Techno-commercial cum financial bid, to the Addl. Manager (Personnel), Uranium Corporation of India Limited, Turamdih, P.O.: Sundernagar, District: Singhbhum (East), Jharkhand- 832107 to reach him on or before the date & time fixed for receiving bid. FAX, telegraphic or email bids will not be entertained. The sealed outer cover should containing two envelopes, each sealed and marked with NIT no., closing date and general description of work tendered for and type of bid. Outer Sealed cover which should be super-scribed with NIT No. and general description of the work quoted for.

Offer will be opened on the due date as mentioned above by the Corporation’s authorized representative(s) in the presence of the Tenderers who are present.

Tenders received without earnest money are likely to be rejected. Tenderer shall enclose the Bank Draft of the Earnest Money in separate sealed envelope and shall enclose the same containing the technical bid.

1. JOB DESCRIPTION UCIL is operating a uranium ore processing plant at Turamdih, which is around 5KM from Tatanagar

Railway Station towards Hata to meet the increasing demand of uranium. Presently it is running at 3000 TPD capacity and commissioning activities of 1500TPD more capacity are near to completion

UCIL is interested to invite tender for Transit insurance of equipment to be transported. Following are the list of material which will be transported. Estimated cost of the following items is Rs. 26,00,000/-.

VSAT antenna along with stand and other accessories are to be transported from UCIL Mines Turamdih (Address: UCIL, Turamdih Mines, P.O.: Sundernagar, East Singhbhum, Jharkhand – 832107) to UCIL Tummalapalle (Address: UCIL, Tummalapalle P.O.: Mobbuchintalapalle, Vemula (M), Pulivendula, Distt: Kadapa, A.P. – 516349) through full Truck load.

2. Terms & Condition: (Tenderer are advised to go through the following instruction before filling the rates):

1 Nature of the tender: The Tenderer should submit their tender in Single Part Two Part as described in the NIT

Accepted/ Not Accepted

2 EMD: Payable in form of demand draft drawn in favour of “URANIUM CORPORATION OF INDIA LIMITED” payable at State Bank of India Limited, Jaduguda Branch, Code No.: 0227 No interest shall be payable for the EMD, EMD will be released after successful completion of the work.


3 Payment Terms: Payment will be made within 30 days after successful issuance and handing over of insurance document to the UCIL Authority.


4 All items transported (List attached with this Tender) are to be covered under transit Insurance. Accepted/ Not Accepted

5 On the event of any damage purchaser is eligible for claim for the amount equivalent to loss incurred due to the damage.


6 The Tenderer shall fill his rates in the ‘Price Format’. Rates should be quoted only as per price format (Page 6) of tender document failing which offer may be rejected


7 Total price shall be the only deciding factor of L-1 bidder. (Ref. Price Format) Accepted/ Not Accepted

8 The rate quoted above should be inclusive all taxes & duties, transportation etc., No extra payment shall be entertained except the quoted rate in Price Format.

Rates in Words & Figures: 1. In case of item rate tenders, only rates quoted shall be considered. 2. Rates shall be filled properly so that there is no discrepancy in rates written in figure and

words. However, if a discrepancy is found, the rates which correspond with the amount worked out by the contractor shall unless otherwise proved be taken as correct. If the amount of an item is not worked out by the contractor or it does not correspond with the rates written either in figure or in words then the rates quoted by the contractor in words shall be taken as correct.

3. Where the rates quoted by the contractor in figure and in words tally but the amount is not worked out correctly, the rate quoted by the contractor will unless otherwise proved be taken as correct and not the amount. In event no rate has been quoted for any item (s) then rate for such item (s) will be considered as zero

Completion Time : The Insurance certificate shall be issued within 7 days of confirmed W.O.. Documents required along with W.O. for issuance of Insurance certificate shall be indicated along the technical bid.


11 UCIL reserves to themselves right of accepting the whole or any part of tender and the tenderers shall be bound to perform the same at his quoted rates.


12 Before submission of the tender the tenderers are advised to make themselves fully conversant with the conditions of tendering, general conditions, special conditions, site conditions, specifications, schedules, drawings and all other relevant information’s so that no ambiguity may arise in this respect subsequent to the submission of the tender.


13 It shall be the responsibility of the tenderer to request for any missing document. In absence of any such request the tenderer will be deemed to have received and read all documents.


14 The tenderer shall submit his tender strictly in accordance with the tender specification. terms and conditions laid down in the tender document.


15 JURISDICTION: This contract shall be deemed to have been executed at Jaduguda, Dist- Accepted/ Not

Singhbhum(E), Jharkhand, and it is subject to the jurisdiction of the court of law at Ghatshila, Dist-Singhbhum(E) Jharkhand only irrespective of anything to the contrary that may be mentioned in the tender or quotation.

17 Service Tax: rate quoted should be inclusive of service tax. The tenderer should provide service tax registration certificate and number along with the offer

Reimbursement for variation in Taxes / new Taxes The contractor will be paid at actual against production of documentary evidence for any variation in statutory taxes, duties etc. or any imposition of new Governmental taxes/duties during the contract execution period. For this purpose, the bidder should indicate clearly in his price bid the details of taxes and duties considered for all those major items for which he intends to claim for such reimbursement.


19 FIRM PRICE: The quoted rate shall be firm till the work execution period. Accepted/ Not Accepted
