MASS TIMES ST IGNATIUS Toowong: Weekdays 5.30pm every afternoon; Saturday 9.00am & 6.00pm (Vigil); Sunday 7.00am & 5.00pm. Reconciliation: Saturday after 9.00am Mass and from 5.15pm to 5.45pm, or by appointment. HOLY SPIRIT Auchenflower: Weekdays 9.00am Monday, Wednesday & Friday; Sunday 8.30am. Three Kingsmen and five Leonians will spend a month in India in November-December 2015 serving the poor. This is the inaugural joint India Immersion for both colleges. The three Kingsmen are Sean Dauner, Andrew Lynch and Braden Tonakie, and the five Leonians are Blake Alexander, Clint Caldicott, Jackson Hersee, Lachlan Stocks and Hugh Winten. The students will be accompanied by Br Rob Callen and Mr Gerard Keating. These young men will spend two weeks in Calcutta working with Mother Teresa’s Missionaries of Charity in centres like Prem Dan, Kalighat and Nabor Jibon. In Chennai, they will work at MITHRA and Prema Vasam with severely disabled children from the slums of Madras. This is St Leo’s fifth India Immersion trip, but are delighted to make this a combined colleges initiative. Each student has paid his own fare with some assistance from a UQ Advantage grant. The trip organiser, Br Rob Callen, Christian Brothers Oceania, says that this four-week experience always has a profound impact on every participant. Spending four weeks in a strange culture, being deprived of home comforts and familiar food, surrounded by a frenzy of colour, noise and smells, tests everyone, is a challenge for everyone. But this journey of self-discovery; this test of one’s patience and generosity, teaches every volunteer real truths about himself. And the whole experience offers the possibility for personal transformation. In their willingness to give themselves so generously, these volunteers demonstrate their desire to build a better world. St Ignatius Parish Toowong will bless and commission these young people at this Sunday’s (22/11) 5.00pm Mass. Caritas Australia-People’s Climate March. On 30 Nov. the leaders of over 190 governments will gather in Paris to thrash out a new global agreement to tackle climate change. The agreement will be critical for putting us on a pathway to reduce global greenhouse gas emissions quickly enough to avoid dangerous climate change. This is a key moment to show our support for strong climate action. Please join us at 8:45am on Sat 28 Nov. at The Cathedral of St Stephen. We will proceed from there & join other groups for the rally and march starting at 9.30am from Queens Park. Info Joe Foley on 3324 3134.

Catholic Mission. Please join us at at COLLOQUIUM ON LAUDATO SI and discuss its implications for the world at large. When Pope Francis released the document in-spired by St Francis’ Canticle of Creation, he wanted to remind us all – Catholics & non-Catholics, the Church and all those beyond it – that we needed to care for cre-ation more. But what does that actually mean and how can we achieve greater sustainability & longevity? This gathering will be a chance to explore & consider these & other significant questions. Being held at Franciscan girls’ college, Mt Alvernia, Kedron on Thurs 3 Dec. We invites you to come & spend a day with Catholics from a variety of backgrounds & contexts. Thanks to the gener-osity of CCI, we are able to offer a significant discount to members of local parishes. Simply call our office during business hours, mention this bulletin notice & you will save $100 (full prof. rate is $195, so you can join us for $95). To register or more info., please call 3336 9239 or visit www.thefranciseffectii.com/thefranciseffec2.html

OUR MISSION PRAYER

We, the St Ignatius community, are called to live the good news. We pray that we become the people that Jesus Christ called us to be. We pray that we know the Father, by the power of the Holy Spirit

through knowing Jesus in prayer, scripture and liturgy. We pray that we give hope to others by a practical, personal kindness, affirming each person's dignity, worth and destiny in Christ. May we live out this mission of our Christian vocation in the spirit of St. Ignatius.
