HANDLOOM EXPORT PROMOTION COUNCIL

VOICE OF BUYERS“We were indeed very well looked after and the services given to us were TOP CLASS. I have not seen such services being provided in any fairs that we go to in the world. Please keep up this good work and wish you all the success in the next Season 2012……… Made us to discover some major local textile vendors. ” – Vivek pal Singh , Indian Touch, France.

“I enjoyed the opportunity to meet with vendors and also visitors from other parts of the world. “—Romila , TECHNO INVESTMENTS, South Africa

“Please accept our deep appreciation for your able leadership and earnest efforts exerted for the success of the Fair. All the members of the delegation from Yokohama India Centre have returned to Japan safe and sound and they asked me to convey their heartfelt gratitude for the courteous hospitality and kind assistance extended by you and other officers of HEPC during their stay in Chennai……… our members were able to find some items of their interests and so they will follow up the contacts made with the Indian companies concerned at the Fair by exploring the possibilities of introducing such items in the Japanese markets.” - S. Hashimoto, Associate Adviser, Yokohama India Centre, Japan.

“I was honored and so grateful to have had the opportunity. It was a perfect way to initiate the expansion of our collection to include and support Indian handweavers. I was able to identify 3 potential sources for us. So this is just the beginning and a tremendous start! - ……I also really appreciated + enjoyed the planned events. Rehane’s fashion show was an inspiration and the Bharatnatyam performance - exceptional! ………I think this was a excellent start for the first handwoven fair………..and going forward, if you are able to increase the number of vendors as well as include vetted vendors from all over india, I believe it will be an even larger success” - Lee Olson, Design Director, M/s. Yoma Textiles, New York

“It was a pleasure and hopefully a productive visit”.- Maurice R Keane, Ireland.

“I have found some manufacturers of interest and will finalize my order soon…..

……The road to success is really here under construction” - Pijazz , Sweden.

“We were able to identify some products, which we are quite interested in this time. As we know, you produce a lot of wonderful beautiful products with high quality in India. So we hope that more much number of Indian original handwoven products which you proud of to the world will be introduced next time……. We are always happy to be informed whenever you have such fair not only in Chennai but also in the other cities in India such as New Delhi and Mumbai etc” . - T. Koike, Japan.

“ During the visit I have learned of new suppliers and new products in India. I have made notes and send that to my team and I am sure our orders from India will increase. I am sure orders will soon be there, although such an excursive has longer term effects than just once off orders……. Well done on the first and good luck to the future of HEPC and the India International Hand-woven Fair held at Chennai “ .- Tom Hickman, South Africa

“You from the Council give the exhibitors such an important support inviting business people which is great. Although I believe it would be tremendously important that the government could give them support in marketing, design and presentation of the booths making those products to look amazing, just like the fashion show we attended on the first night” . - Vanessa Carmo, Brazil.
