Corporations, Boards and Authori-ties of the Government can be start-ed in which some senior MLAs canbe accommodated. Shivraj SinghChouhan has formed a five-membercabinet before this. Now even if 27new ministers are added, then twoseats will remain vacant becausebased on the strength of the numberof assembly members, a maximumof 35 members of the cabinet includ-ing the Chief Minister in the statemay be appointed.

There is speculation of expansionon the coming June 30 or July 1 be-cause the Chief Minister had issueda statement last Wednesday sayingthat the cabinet could be expandedsoon after discussions with the cen-tral leadership. He also said that thedecision has been taken after con-sidering all the points. After this, hehad gone to South India on a three-day religious visit and travelled toDelhi on the second day of his returnto Bhopal.

Khilawan Chandrakar, Bhopal The BJP has to decide the name ofthe Speaker before the Assemblysession which is going to start onJuly 20, but now the names of half adozen MLAs who are emerging ascontenders for this post, want aplace in the Cabinet more than be-coming the Speaker. So it seemsclear that the cabinet will be ex-panded first and only then thename for the Speaker will be decid-ed.

All the claimants have madetheir stand clear that they wouldprefer to become ministers. When, for some reason, any of them couldnot find a place in the expansion ofthe portfolio, and then only hewould seek Speaker’s post. On thesecond day of the session, nomina-tion and voting can be done for theSpeaker if necessary.

Gopal Bhargava, elected MLAfrom Rahli in Sagar district for the8th consecutive time, has emergedas the most powerful contender forthe post. If he had to be deprived ofthe post of minister due to any rea-son, amidst the controversy overthe ministerial post in Sagar dis-trict, he can accept speaker’s post.Bhargava has a good knowledge ofparliamentary traditions and legis-lation, so it is believed that he can

conduct the assembly in a betterway. Nagendra Singh, MLA fromNagaud in Satna district, has alsobeen a minister and MP in thepast. Due to his seniority, he is alsoclaiming the post of speaker. Sid-hi’s senior MLA Kedarnath Shuklais also said to be the contender forthe post of speaker. Last time hefell behind in political manipula-

tion and his place was taken by Dr.Sitasharan Sharma. He does notwant to make any kind of lapse thistime. Yashpal Singh Sisodia, athree-time MLA from Mandsaur, also wants to make a place in thecabinet and is trying to get thechair of the assembly speaker if it isnot possible for some reason to be-come a minister.

All these BJP MLAs are engagedin their own political power at theirown level and in their quest forcontact with the top leaders toachieve the big statutory post ofthe Speaker. The picture is notclear yet when the cabinet isformed and a pomegranate can al-so create many sick conditions byreaching the manipulative peakamong the remaining contenders.

Chief Minister ShivrajSingh Chouhan often saysabout his national leaderand Prime MinisterNarendra Modi that he isthe man of ideas. That is,Modi is the leader whohas the yearning to makeIndia develop and whokeeps bringing innovativeideas in this matter.Construction of toilets inevery household for thecountry’s mother power issuch a scheme born ofsimilar ideas. This hasgiven significant contri-bution in relation toimproving the conditionof women in rural India.PM Ujjwala Yojana canalso be considered assome kind of scheme. Hislatest edict to his minis-ters is also part of thislink. It has been for yearsthat the policy makingwork remains in the gymsof the PlanningCommission and theFinance Commission. The government has beenforming a committee offormer senior bureau-crats and experts fromvarious fields and takesideas regarding policies.Modi is such a groundleader who has fought thestruggle of a commonman. It is evident that heexpects his cabinet col-leagues to submit practi-cal suggestions based onexperience that can beimplemented on theground of reality as well.

In fact, amid the ongo-ing border dispute withChina, Modi has asked hisCouncil of Ministers forrealistic ideas to trans-form the country into aglobal manufacturinghub. The PM has askedthe ministers to presentsuch original and realisticideas, which can beturned into a policy topromote industrial devel-opment and generateemployment. In therecent virtual (video con-ference) talks, the PrimeMinister asked the minis-

ters to give momentum tothe economy. During this,Modi held talks withChina about manufactur-ing challenges. Someministers, including thedefense minister and theforeign minister, were notpresent in the talks fordifferent reasons.Ministers were alreadytold about the agenda ofthe talks. During thattime, the PM asked theministers to give theirpresentations on worthysuggestions, but exceptone minister no one wasready. According to mediareports, the PM alsopulled some ministers inthis regard. He went on tosay that ministers are notkings or queens, nor arethey in any royal dynasty. He said that all (minis-ters) have struggled at thegrassroots level for yearsto reach this position andno new ideas are comingout yet. It is being toldthat the PM expressedanger that he does notwant views from depart-ments, ministries orbureaucrats. He has nextasked his ministers tocome up with their ownoriginal and realisticideas which can beimplemented. Later someministers went to thePrime Minister’s resi-dence and presentedtheir views and presenta-tions.

Union ministers pre-sented suggestions andideas on how India canbecome a manufacturinghub. Actually, there isincreasing distrust in thecountry against China, insuch a situation the cen-tral government wants toreduce dependence onChina for trade.Apparently, Modi haspledged to make Indiaself-sufficient to make thecountry a manufacturinghub and he announcedthis resolution in hisaddress to the nation lastmonth.

Measles infections in childrencan destroy the immune system’smemory of prior exposure toother pathogens.

The finding — from a teamthat included scientists atGenentech, a Roche subsidiary —helps explain why youngstersrecovering from measles are moresusceptible to other infectiousdiseases. It also underscores theimportance of vaccinating againstthe measles virus.

The researchers analysed blood samples from 77 unvaccinated Dutchchildren taken before and after a measles outbreak.

They found that the infection erased 11–73% of antibodies against otherbacteria and viruses that were present before the children fell ill. Kids whowere vaccinated against measles showed no such deficits in their antibodyrepertoires.

The researchers confirmed that measles induces a kind of immune amne-sia by experimentally infecting monkeys with the virus and observing thesame loss of pre-existing antibodies.

In the current time, beinggrateful is one of the mostimportant human quality.nowadays many people takesthings for granted. we don’trealize how many people workbehind the scene so that weget to live a comfortable life.when we are ungrateful thenwe don’t value the sacrifice ofthose people who have sacri-ficed their life so that there isend to wars, slavery, famineand there is peace and free-dom in the world.

Gratitude is one qualitywhich keeps us away from ego

and grounded in reality. a grateful person is rich from within. he knows godhas showered him with more wealth than what he deserve. truly speaking weown nothing, because we come to this earth empty handed and will go backempty handed. in this journey of life, we must appreciate and share the rich-ness which god has showered on all of us.

Gratitude is the way to thank god for all his blessings. when you show yourgratitude in life then it helps the other person but it also gives you a lot inreturn. as when you are grateful then you are humble, content and happy.you open your heart and become a instrument of god to bring blessing inothers life.Managing Editor- Sumeet Maheshwari, Group Editor- Kranti ChaturvediEditorial Board Send article on email - [email protected]

Amir Haskelhas been a leader of the protestmovement against Netanyahu, de-manding that the long-time leaderstep down while facing charges offraud, breach of trust and accept-ing bribes. Haskel and several oth-ers were detained on Friday inwhat police said was an ``illegal’’demonstration because the pro-testers blocked roads.

Haskel, a former top Israeli AirForce general, has become a sym-bol of the protest movement thatopposes Netanyahu’s continuedrule. Demonstrations have beenheld regularly around the country, with protesters waving signs read-ing ``crime minister`` and callingfor Netanyahu to resign.

``No one will prevent us fromprotesting anywhere,’’ Haskel saidupon his release, adding a barb to-ward Netanyahu about his own

brief experience in jail. ``We werein Hadarim prison for 15 hours. Itwasn’t pleasant, but it wasn’t terri-ble.’’

The arrests drew angry denun-ciations from prominent Israelisand sent hundreds out to protestoutside Netanyahu’s residence onSaturday, with many slamming thepolice for making what theyviewed as politically-motivated ar-rests.

Police said they offered to re-lease Haskel and others if theyagreed to refrain from returning to

the scene of the protests. Haskeland two others refused.

Gabi Lasky, the lawyer repre-senting Haskel, told Israeli ArmyRadio that the court eventually re-leased him without conditions, saying protesting was the founda-tion of democracy.

The country’s acting policechief said the force would learn alesson from the incident.

``The role of the police is to al-low freedom of expression anddemonstration to every personand to keep the public peace andsecurity, this regardless of theprotest’s subject, the identity of theprotesters or their opinions,`` act-ing commissioner Motti Cohensaid.

Netanyahu is on trial for a seriesof scandals in which he allegedlyreceived lavish gifts from billion-aire friends and traded regulatoryfavors with media moguls for morepalatable coverage of himself andhis family. The trial is set to resumenext month.

Netanyahu has denied wrong-doing, calling the charges a witch-hunt against him by a hostile me-dia and a biased law enforcementsystem.

We know that sugar leads to weightgain and that’s why many weightwatchers stop or at least cut downon it. Many are replacing high-calorie foods and beverages withlower-calorie or no-calorie sweettreats as it can help to lose andmaintain a healthy weight. For ex-ample, switching from high-caloriesodas to diet sodas with no caloriesare actually helpful. Even manyfoods and drink manufacturershave and have been replacing sug-ar with artificial sweeteners consid-ering the obesity crisis and demandfor such products.

But one should not totally relyon it as many observational studieshave revealed that artificial sweet-eners can lead to weight gain ratherthan weight loss. The study, whichwas published in the Canadian

Medical Association Journal foundthat this ingredient that manyBritons eat every day could bemaking them fat. Yes, you read itright! Artificial sweeteners may beassociated with long-term weight

gain and increased risk of obesity. Some scientists believe that be-cause artificial sweeteners are somuch sweeter than sugar (For ex-ample, Aspartame 180 x sweeterthan sugar), they train our brains tocrave more sweet foods.

As they do not provide calories, they confuse the brain signals thattell us to stop eating when we’vehad enough food. Also, eating arti-ficially sweetened food gives us anexcuse to eat more food overall.

They may not only disrupt yourweight loss dreams but also in-crease the risk of diabetes, highblood pressure and heart disease. This is not all, they may also havenegative effects on metabolism, gutbacteria and appetite.

As per one 2017 study, daily dietdrink consumption was linked to

an increased risk of stroke or de-mentia. So, cut down on not onlysugar but also artificial sweetenersfrom your weight loss plan and youwill soon see the results. What are artificial sweeteners?

The NHS said, “Artificial sweet-eners are low-calorie or calorie-freechemical substances that are usedinstead of sugar to sweeten foodsand drinks. They are found in thou-sands of products, from drinks, desserts and ready meals, to cakes, chewing gum and toothpaste.”There are many artificial sweeten-ers to choose from such as aspar-tame, neotame, saccharin, and su-cralose among others. Many every-day items such as ketchup, whole-wheat bread, greek yogurt, cerealand sugar-free chewing gum haveartificial sweeteners.

Perfumes are more than justthings that make you smellgreat. They help in setting themood, evoking fond memories, lifting spirits, calming peopledown, and so much more. Theperfume industry is worthmore than a thousand milliondollars thanks to the market-ing, brands and designers in-volved. This also means thatpicking a scent for yourselfcomes with its own challenges, that mainly involves pickingfrom a large variety. But how topick the right scent for your-self? Read on to find out!

Most great smelling and lux-ury perfumes are expensiveand make for a huge invest-ment. Many times, we tend tobuy products based on howthey smell on others and aredisappointed when we pur-chase it, making for a loss. Here’s how to avoid that.

Stick with what you arefamiliar

Take a whiff of all your per-

fumes once. Chances are, theyhave a similarity in them. Theyall either have a fruity scent, anoriental or citrus, base note, etc.

Locate which is the mostcommon and make a note of it.

This only means that you arefond of that particular basenote, so it is best to stick to this.

Get to work early in themorning

The sense of smell is said to

be the most heightened in themorning before you are reallyexposed to all the differentscents during the day. It is bestto shop for fragrances as earlyas possible to make the rightchoice.

Don’t test on yourselfWhen you narrow down on

fragrances you like, spray it ona blotting paper or inside thelid of the perfume.

Take a sniff and then leavethe store - run a few errands orgrab something to it. Let thefragrance dry and then smell itagain.

Make your decision basedon how it smells once the per-fume dries up. Sample your scent

Once you have made a deci-sion, ask for a sample of thescent you have finalised on. Tryit out at home.

The fragrance sits differentlyon different people and reactsdifferently based on the body’snatural oil, creams applied, etc. After testing the same for a day, make a decision to invest in theproduct finally.

Her comments were a responseto New Zealand captain SophieDevine recommending a smallerball and Pandey’s India teammate Jemimah Rodrigues sug-gesting a shorter pitch to packmore action into women’s cricket.
